If u go for stop payment, u get nothing but charge will debit in ur bank account.. And fortunetly if u get allotment u will earn good profit. So, I suggest not to stop payment.
In my opinion applicant with less than 13 lots must withdraw their applications, one should have at least half chance of getting the allotment, assuming that subscrioption will be 25-26 times. I have applied for 4 lots so I think my chances of allotment are almost nil. I am also going to withdraw
I am going to make stop payment of my cheque, as the issue will be subscribed more than 25 times , means only 2 out of 3 applicant with full application will get the allotment, for less then full application , chances are following: 1 lot : 1/25 2 lot : 2/25 3 lot : 3/25 4 lot : 4/25 ............ ............ 14 lot : 14/25 15 lot : 15/25 16 lot : 16/25 this calculation is on the asssumption that retail sub will be 25 times.

IN RECENT ISSUES AS PER NSE SITE, THE FIGURES OF SUBSCRIPTION AT CUTOFF PRICE AND LOWER PRICE SHOWS HUGE DIFFERENCE. PLEASE PROVIDE THE FIGURES OF SUBSCRIPTION AT CUT OFF PRICE.
dear friends heavy response means less profit. if take in account the cut off bids as retail investor then in simple means every 7 out of 8 full applications of 320 shares will get only 20 shares each. so you can earn profit of Rs. 1240/- per lucky investor in case the price open at 20% up than issue price.
@mundoli, more lots you apply'higher are your chances. Ex. If u have applied for 16 lots and if it is subscribed 20 times in retail category, u'r chances are 16:20 i.e 16 out of 20 people. Similarly if u have applied for 4 lots, u'r chances are 4:20. Hope u got the logic.
