As per my Understanding Retail portion has been over-subscribed 17.2 times after considering (a) Bids at Cut-Off Price only both in Retail and Employee categories and (b) Un-subscribed portion of Employee category. I have not considered Rejections for technical reasons since we do not have data in our possession

Retail subscription at 18.95 times after including employee quota. after considering incorrect application, bids at lesser price than the cutoff price, appliocation via several Demat accounts my estimation is if you have applied for full lots then there is a chance of 16/17 or even 1 confirmed lot that is 20 shares.

Dear Madhu, your concepts are not very clear. The oversubscription in relail is not equal to bids at cutoff. It is always higher then or equal to bids at cutoff. There is not emperical formula to howmuch is the multiple of cutoff to the overall subscription. And also remember that only pricebids below the cutoff price are rejected and not those which are above or equal to cutoff.

444. rajan |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2010 7:35:18 PM
madhu ,
one more thing to add, retail subscription will be calculated only on the basis of shares available for ratail category i.e. 1463319

madhu@431,
except cut off applications , qib and nii make bids on highest price ie 310, most of the cut off portion represent retail investors only. 505807200 shares are also bid at highest price which will also be the part of overall subscription, most of this portion comes from qib and nii. I think you have got answer to ur question.

@ 440. Aunty

Bid at cutoff is 28844200, ie 19.77 times retail portion. I believe it can come down to 19.5 after technical rejection ( mainly due to stop payment of check for multiple application ).

Chances are as follows as per standard oversubscription,

Applied 20 - Chance 1:21
Applied 40 - Chance 2:21
....
....
....
Applied 320 - Chance 16:21

Regards,
Vishal

Any Chances of getting allocation ?

Will only people who have applied for full application will be considered in lottery or even people like me can get allocation through lottery
Please advice.

Vishal This means those who have applied at cut off have good chances as nearly half of the bids have come as cut off. Kindly analyse it for the forum if u can.
435. madhu |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2010 7:07:04 PM
431. rajan,
as per nse site the issue is subscribed 93.16 times.
total number of shares is 5419706. total subscription at cut off price is only 26844240. as the issue is oversubscribed there is no chance of fixing a price less than cut off price.so that those who bid at less than 310 will not get allotment. in effect the number of times of over subscription is 26844240/5419706 = 4.95. allotment in retail segment depends on times of over subscription which is not updated on nse site.
i request more informed people to commend on what i said .
