Thanks Everyone for contributing to the discussion on IPO/ASBA through SBI and other internet banking facility. In case of SBI, it seems there is no need to register your DP Id and Client ID before. It asks for Name, PAN no, DP Id, Client ID for filling the application form. DP id is something that each security services has a DP Id, like HDFC sec has the DP Id of IN301151. I think "Client Id" is same as Demat account number. Can any one confirm. Also u can apply for upto 5 persons in an IPO. Thanks, -Santosh
All retail investors always use ASBA facility. This is so much easy and you will get your money back in your bank account before share listing day. If SBI site not showing ASBA facility then contact them i use axis bank. You can apply from this facility before 3:00 p.m. at the last day. Use always this facility. First register your and your's DP Account with your bank and then pay for IPO. S0 much easy no paper work at all.
looks like now retail investor is little bit confused..where to use dq refund amount which will be credited ,most probably on wednesday....because allotment will be on ...MONDAY...
thank you swati for sharing valuable information. the problem with our nationalised banks is that they are not agressive in marketing their products. even if we send a mail they will not respond. information is undersupplied. their websites do not provide adequate information. so that discussion in this forum is highly useful.
