I bought into this at issue price and I can feel your pain.
Remember, you don’t lose anything unless you sell at loss. You bought some shares at whatever price, you still hold the same number of shares. Only the notional value has changed. Tell a stock that doesn’t change in notional value.
China don’t have most Google products including GPay. Not only that, they don’t have any big players (PayPal, AmazonPay, ApplePay, Square, Venmo) for their whopping 1.45 billion population. They do like to have their own solution.
Alibaba Group (Amazon equivalent of China) thru Ant Finance has 40% stake in PayTM. So, they’ll not give up without a fair fight.
Just hold onto it and enjoy the roller coaster 🎢 ride. Things will get around after a while.
My brother. Although your first statement is right and to the point, the second is garbage. Don''t forget china itself blocked the mega listing of ANT. Why will they care about Paytm? Hold karna hai karo, logic galat mat lagao. Luto ge
Paytm looking to follow reliance Power 🤣🤣 niklo ye garbage company se 1000 bhi aa skta hai

It may even become penny stock.
If you want earn more You must take more risk. If a person wants safe bets, then they should confine themselves to conservative stocks such as HUL, PGHH, TCS, Reliance etc., where return is less and safety is more.
Reliance securities was chasing for pre ipo buy. That was the clear signal to avoid..quality of company is pathetic. Better please sell at loss and avoid any large issue

@noorul: agree with you....better to be safe than sorry.....i see usually you don''t go with lesser gmp / average stocks. But i usually just put 1 lot in retail in these ipos just for fun/experience purpose ;) :) Fino was big NO in retail too. i skipped even sapphire in hni, was not convinced with that and in aditya birla amc also i skipped HNI but zomato i went in hni as i was sure in that and its giving now more than 100% returns. @sdz: i am also with you in paytm but with only 1 lot :)

@Noorul... Applied small in PB, Paytm & Sapphire though with single digit GMPs just by going with their consumer brand name. Luckily 15 PB dint damage and hope no big damages by other two
Reliance power Never apply in 5 digits big issues PAYTM IPO is a big fraud like reliance power Alert for those RIIs and NIIs who apply in every IPOs without checking any fundamentals
I skipped the issue because it was pretty clear that Paytm was a dying company and this listing gave it some life to continue further. Overhyped company which couldn''t establish itself in any sector in more than a decade of its operations.
aj tak jitne bhi promo code dal dal ke paytm me cashback mila tha, aaj ek sath le gaya :D this is called business :D Jisko laga he vo to kisi nightmare se kam nahi he :D
A lesson to be learned by retail investors. With 14 lakhs+ lots getting subscribed in retail, it seems there are takers for anything that is offered as IPO in retail. Risky ipos should be applied via UPI so that one gets enough time to make a judgment after the final day dust settles. Note - had declined upi mandate after closing date.
It was very much expected, this IPO shouldn''t have been allowed to raise fund at such an exorbitant price (for me it was at least priced 50% higher), What surprised me was the response from Mutual funds, now it''s time to see the MFs that have applied in this issue, as retail investors we need to penalize them for supporting this corrupt practice and exit these MFs.
