While Mr Bhavesh Aggarwal didnt give any interview with Mr Singhvi, I managed to find his interview post IPO close on CNBC. Very interesting insights below:

*Will report Q1 2024 earnings soon after listing on Aug 9th*

*Will launch new product on Aug 15th - mostly EV Bike*

*Mkt share in EV 2W has increased from 38% in June 2023 to 46% in June 2024*
Market share June 2024 OLA 46%, TVS 17%, Bajaj 11%, Ather 8%, Hero 4%
Market share in June 2023 OLA 38%, TVS 17%, Bajaj 6%, Ather 10%, Hero 1%

*Sub 1 lakh scooter launched drove 100% volume growth since Oct 2023 to July 2024 period*

*In July 2024 company saw 110% yoy growth in volume*

*Future margin expansion to drive towards profitability*

*7-8% margin improvement in 2025 due to inhouse cell manufacturing + 5% to be saved on customs duty (these are calculated using 30% cell cost as total cost of EV 2W and margin of c.25% made by foreign cell companies)

*Market size has huge potential. Current 2W market is 20Mn units. 1/3rd is Scooters so around 7Mn units. 11% CAGR expected and 30% EV penentration expected in next 2 years which leads to total EV Scooters market of 8Mn of which 40% market share is 3Mn units vs 0.35Mn currently*

*Lastly very interesting point on only one outcome of ICE vs EV battle - ICE vehicles will continue to get costlier due to Bharta 6 and above while on other hand EV 2W will continue to get cheaper due to cell cost (Cell cost expected to reduce further from $100/Kwh currently to $50 in 5 years). Plus PM Modi vision on Solar energy powering EV @wheelers provides a boost to market size for atleast 5 years

This is veru assuring and encouraging , but he did say anything regarding when company would BREAK EVEN or make PROFITS.

​@scbkc  Sir @Chhote Lal Is absolutely correct. Mr Aggarwal dodged this question from the anchor multiple times as he could not disclose numbers. But he was sounding very confident and upbeat abt Q1 numbers.

I dug deeper and got E2W sales numbers from SIAM and found that OLA saw a robust 58% yoy growth in Q1 to 107900 units. Also in July OLA sold 41597 units which is up 114% yoy.

Going by simple extrapolation when sales grew 90% yoy in FY24, EBITDA margin inproved from -43% to -19%. So if the company sees similar growth again it shoudl breakeven in FY25, and FY26 onwards will start seeing margin expansion as cell production will start in early 2025.

I too personally went through each and every interview of Ola-E

Bhavish was confident that Q1 results will show a path to profitably (implied). Well to be honest, when Faruk Patel (KPGEL) was asked about exorbitant pricing and future path, he said wait for our H2 results and they were blockbuster.

Similarly, drawing a parallel, I feel that Q1 nos. are going to be very good and hint at something big.

i also watch his many recent interview you may also watch on your tube type bhavesh aggarwal ola ipo so therefore i applied 2 lot in SHNI regarding profit he cant coments due to regulatry but we know and anil singwi also said behind the door look like he has given the information would come in profit after 1 year or before 2 year rest cant say but this is sure would come in profit after 1 to 2 year

​@rohiitian went with 5 SHNI. This will turn out to be a hero zero trade :)
It is just that the market conditions have spolied the mood.

Had we not seen this deep correction, people would have madly applied here and the premiums would have easily been 20%.

Implicit in this hero zero trade is the assumption that markets stabilise. Also implicit that atleast 50% of the 25% of IPO allottees(HNI+Retail) have applied for long-term, knowing the weakening markets and negative premiums.

If selling pressure remains low, we are seeing a good listing gain candidate and post-listing buying.

Let's see what the future holds for the people who applied :)

​@rohiitian Vinit Bolinjkar, Head of Equity Research, Ventura Securities, believes that Ola Electric margins are going to go up substantially. The most important part is that early signs of profitability is seen, post the second half of FY27. All things put together, he believes that a price target about Rs 140 plus on the stock over the next 12 to 18 months is very reasonable and achievable. Bolinjkar says subscribers should buy into this story on IPO and on listing.

Will surely keep some of it for long-term PF.

My only concern for keeping this in long-term PF is that wherever I go, I read customers unhappy with after sales customer service. This is negative publicity to the max.

Despite of this sales are growing at a good pace. Any reasons u think for this?

@rohiitian - unfortunately the gif seems to be proving true as per current GM rates, trading at discount of 4
I feel just the timing was wrong for OLA.
Had the markets been stable, I think this is defenitely an appliable candidate.
Market Leader, Good growth numbers, also I feel the export market is pretty large for Indian 2-wheelers manufacturers (can expand in Africa & other places like Bajaj did).
All in all, I don't think its a bad long term bet given its a sunrise sector with high growth potential.
