If its list at higher band i.e 1050 (as we have heard on TV channels), i do not think there is much upside in it .... i reaqlly hope that it dose not follow the foot-steps of NHPC .....

It is quite strange that after this IPO Closed govt has asked for subsidy from oil companies.

I am pretty sure this will list at discount between 950-975 for sure.

This stock is not a great buy as lot of other good oiul companies are available. Instaed buy ksoils from open market and you will get 50% appreciation in 1 month.

This stock will have no demand on opening at proice of 1050.
anything below 700 is only correct price for this stock.

489 Vani,You cannot apply either for 10 shares or for 40 shares. It is applied in a lot of 6 and multiples of 6.
496. ajitg |   Link |  Bookmark | September 13, 2009 9:11:50 AM
how to find out your allotment based on oversubcription of 1.76 times--simple--nos of shares you have applied divided by 1.76 equal to fig you get shares if this fig is greater than 6 , if less than 6 then you get 6 but by 1 out of 2 ratio----
FII/FI have applied 50 times and HNI applied for 10 times, and we small investors kept on fooling each other , in this website, advising each others not to apply--it is ridiculus . In our marathi there is say " aikave janache karave manache "--so i applied for 8 lots each for my all family members, investing about 2.5L , and now i am quite happy to get 60to 65% allotment--so friends keep on fooling each other for good issues in future also

I have been reading a lot of grievances from writers on not being able to get any return on listing of IPOs. Logically speaking, one should not expect returns on the listing day itself. Why promoters are coming to the market to raise capital? It is intended for expansion and future growth and in some cases to start new ventures. So, before their plans and proposals are in place, how can an investor expect to be rewarded! You think of setting up a shop yourself. Do you expect money to come to you before you sold any item from the shop? In short, one should have patience and wait for the projects to materialize before counting on the money one can make. This is my opinion. Brickbats are welcome, too.

All this IPO's making the Investors as FOOL.
I applied and got Adani Power & NHPC shars. Now it is in loss. All they said it will reach the sky after Listed. Now it is going to touch the soil.

Please freinds dont ivest on these IPO'S and waste your moneies. Invest in Good Mutual Funds or Good secondary Market Shares.
