Finally Came out from Dilemma & applied through all my accounts.
For me , it''s not at all any long term story. May behave like Zomato who had seen it''s peek in listing week itself. Will sell on/around listing if allotted.
Dear Aniket Jee, Hope all is well with you. Welcome back , Good To See You Sir .
Thanks

Hi aniket sir..... what was the dilemma here in nykaa ? from starting it was clear cut apply from various points of view. People keep talking about expensive valuations etc but as we know, in such companies, those will not matter, atleast not for listing, as you also told.

Lokes, Except Gmp, unable to found anything exciting in NYKAA @ 1125 for which one should have bullish on it from starting.
Thanks.

@aniket: ya as many said , it was expensive at 1125 rs but before price band announced then reasonable price was expected to come at 950-1000 and it was having good gmp estimates then of 650-700 rs and there was much hype of this ipo, and now price was fixed around 150 rs higher, but still that big gmp gap will be there and if someone is not comfortable with valuations and dont want to take risk then simply sell after listing (as you informed), instead hold for long term, but no harm in applying i think.
Anyways we need to see going forward how these internet companies share prices move in future for zomato, paytm, nykaa, PB, mobikwik etc etc. then only we will be having some experience. Now we just can''t compare these like other listed companies based on profit and PE ratios etc since their business model is different and they all focus more on gaining customer base (market share) instead of profits.
I know cartrade was a bad example (very few examples like this) and many of us proved wrong in that and suffered losses and after that car trade episode, many got afraid and started giving importance to valuations in ipo and then if you remember many were saying to ignore ami organics and you have also skipped that but then it had very good subscription since chemical sector was in high demand and it listed with more than 50% gains (against gmp of 20-25%) and moved to 100% in 2-3 days.
So i feel sometimes its better to go with the flow (at least for listing gain purpose) ignoring valuations. Anyways everyone has their own opinion based on their experiences and i just shared mine. And at least Rakesh Jhunjhunwala doesn''t agree to that as per below recent news :) https://www.cnbctv18.com/market/will-not-invest-in-ipos-at-current-valuations-rakesh-jhunjhunwala-11303502.htm

@Aniketiaf ji- Do yoy apply under HNI category? My question my be not appropriate and I am sorry in that case. Your views matter a lot for form members like me and if you apply in HNI then it gives even more confidence π
