Can anyone tell what is the relevance of Face value in deciding price of a share

@Have failth...Marketcap=Num of shares* price. If Sapphire is 10FV, it should have lesser number of shares if market cap is same. Can you check total num of shares for Devyani, Sapphire and Zomato. Btw Mktcap includes promoters shares etc too.

i was just checking how many companies have market cap of 50000 crores and more... came across the list of TOP 100 companies on moneycontrol...
and the last in the list was Jubilant Food with 49444 cr. So with such valuation Nykaa to enter the List of TOP 100.... ?
and even the PAYTM and many more upcoming IPO''s..
little unfortunate for already listed companies from so many years ... even SAIL doesnt have such valuation :)

People valuing these new age digital co''s higher is just because of this reason that they''ll be successful and earn money with least capital. But it is a risky bet as only few will succeed 😉

IPO Mitr well says bhai i just share my thought actually if government have enough money then they no needs to print so much money so that our indian currency remains strong so people should contribute something for country like foreign countries otherwise in pandemic time if dollar becomes more expensive then rupees valuation going down then inflation becomes more increase and that time people suffer more than now so government do good work this is just my thought thanks

Petrol is not increasing only in one week for 3-4 times ...it is increasing every week like such from 80 to 120.....Vinay u might have more money so these increase in petrol doesn''t matter for you but for every middle class it matters who find to difficult to survive with their salaries ...their savings is almost zero due to covid already....and with 1-2 crore people u didn''t form base for 140+ crore people ..all these money they are getting due to increase in prices will go in their pockets only to buy MLA and votes in election ...And main issue with petrol is that all daily use things prices also goes up like vegetables milk etc ....80 percent wealth is with 20 percent people of India and rest 20 percent is with 80 people and u are forming base on basis of these 20 percent people

@noorul @mravichandran It appears people will make more money in FSN than Sigatchi because to make money one needs allotment too.

you are right absolutely. Also Sigatchi returns are much higher than Nykaa ( we never know until 03 Nov about Sigatchi if its 300 or 500 X, then PB wont be a bad option as you said about allotment).
I went with same your assumption max on Nykaa. lets see. (some how Sigatchi gives me an opinion of Paras 50%)

I think Nykaa is slightly better than Zomato, PayTM, PolicyBazaar and others.
It operates in a niche segment and has lucrative customer base.
Also, the cash burn seems to less than other internet companies.

I have posted a detailed analysis on how to evaluate these internet companies.
Have also included a comparison with Etsy, Uber and Amazon from US markets.

My strategy would be to apply 120 lots in nykaa and 80 lots in Policy bazaar, for every 200 lots from one application/demat and will apply in retail in sigachi and others.
I am dividing between nykaa and PB in above ratio to get 1 lot in nykaa and 2 or more lots in PB.
I am not going only in nykaa , to have diversified allocation and less risk, as no idea if PB GMP may increase till listing since its anchor investment is good.
Nykaa money will be used in Paytm, PB money can''t be used in Paytm so that will be used in any other better ipo during that period.
