I applied through 3rd Party ASBA (Axis) for one lot at 570, and did not get allotment even though the application was accepted and the issue is under subscribed, any idea why?

It may be taken into that it has within it the combo of erstwhile
Lafage-holcim (a very distinguished company with famous brands like concreto, duraguard, mastercrete ,psc.....) and Nu vista (Emami cement ). It has huge presence in the eastern, northern and central India.
So ,you may say many things against it but you can''t ignore it.
I don''t know whether it will give any listing gain but it has a bright prospect in the face of high demand of cement. Cement share prices have gone three to five fold in the last fifteen months.

Please note that the Holcim acquired the management control of Ambuja cement in the year 2006. At that time ''Lafarge India ''was also in operation. In 2015 , Lafarge was merged with Holcim.
In 2016 ,The Nirma group bought the'' Lafarge India '' operation only. So,I have marked it with the word erstwhile. So, it has nothing to do with the Lafarge -Holcim stake in Ambuja cement.
If you have opportunity to any Nuvoco cement bag, you will find the logo of Lafarge.
THUS LISTING OF NUVOCO MEANS LISTING OF ERSTWHILE LAFARGE INDIA, EMAMI CEMENT AND THE NIRMA''S EXISTING CEMENT BUSINESS.
Only problem is that Nirma is not a good named group.
Existing situation is indicative of a post listing surprise

@bhavy: i have seen comments from people that single upi cant be used for different multiple demat accounts as application was rejected with some reason etc....
but third party upi was allowed but only one time one upi one demat....
now since you are saying that with single upi, you got allotment for differnt demat accounts also then may be they are accepting this...
but not sure if they will accept always and for higher subscription ipo''s too...and may be other registrar doesn''t accept since as per sebi rule, its not valid.....so its all upto registrar then

Regarding this 3rd UPI there is actually very confusion.
If u go through the Do''s and Don''ts in the RHP, it is clearly written that 3rd party UPI application are liable to be rejected.
But I have seen in all undersubscribed and fully subscribed IPO like Gland, Sona and Nuvoco, people getting 3rd party UPI.

So just an advice, don''t use 3rd party UPI in IPOs which are highly oversubscribed like route, devyani, etc.

i applied at minimum price but didn''t got allotment. Zero securities alloted.
I wanted to ask if retail portion was not fully subscribed then everyone should get allotment in retail section right?

I remember Yes Bank FPO where it was not fully subscribed so got allotment at lower price.

Okay...so what I understood is the "overall" IPO was over subscribed though retail portion was undersubscribed. Hence allotment was done on cut off price.
If Overall IPO was under subscribed then I would have got allotment at minimum price.

my doubt since ipo is underscribed, and we applied at 570 rs , any chance to get refund of 10 per share which is the lower price band

no refund, if you are allotted.
now earn or lose from secondary market . you already got shares at 570 price.

ipo is subscribed 1.71 times, its not under-subscribed.....individual category subscription doesn''t matter for price calculation...that is considered only for allotment purpose

Factors in favour of positive listing: Low Retail and NII subscription leading to low floating stock. Demand from QIB will be more than the supply; sporadic discount will reverse by end of day or in a few days. Be patient and hold; Don''t sell in panic. It is very good share to keep.

On the listing day many dooms day predictors will vanish and rue in private for not applying.
