Surprisingly this issue was approached with a total negative sentiment. While people were willing to bet on unlisted and small IPOs, there was a hesitation in going in for NMDC, which infact had hit a price of Rs.500/= + in good market. It is a good Company and with offer being made at a reasonable discount to the existing market price, one should take advantage. For example for an investment of 100 shares at 350 + 35,000/= if the price is fixed at 300 and market rate prevails in 340 to 350 range for a retailer, the retun will be very good for the just 15 days of investment. People can think and act!!!!

Give work to your legs and run for applying for NMDC FPO. Dont rely on subscriptions. It is low since government is giving very low brokarage whereas third class companies like pradeep overseas etc pays very high brokarage.. that is why subscription is good there...
so take your own decision.

Lot Size = 20
PRice = 300
1 lot = Rs 6000/-

(Optimistic)Expected Gain for RII after listing Rs10/- per share

Total Gain for rs 6000/- is rs 200/-
profit is 3% only

For 200 rs you are investing 6000 rs.
Better buy this stock only if you intend to hold for LONG TERM day 3-4 years

What say experts?

if you invest at cut off and got allotment than its sell @320-335 and gain @30-40/- per share in only 12-15 days

No Mutual Funds have applied for NMDC. Even @ 300 they are not applying.
If I am mutual fund manager, I may think after listing, whoever retail inidividual investors have purchased will sell @ price between 285 to 300 and I can buy from them.

So NMDC is expected to fall below 300 on listing. Mutual fund managers will buy RII stock (worth Rs3000crore)anywhere below 300

Future of NDMC is very good. You can gain at least 50% in 06 months if allotemnt price is Rs 300.This return is fair enough for me.

THERE IS EVERY CHANCE THAT WE CAN EARN MORE IN NMDC. AT THE SAME TIME POSSIBILITY OF SMALLER LOSS CAN ALSO NOT BE IGNORED.
I THINK IT WILL GIVE BETTER RETURNS THAN DQ OR ILFS OR PRADIP. THE SUBSCRIPTION FIGURES OF QIB WOULD JUMP TOMORROW.

shrini

you should apply for lower band ie @ rs.300/ share for nmdc. if they fix price @ 300 then you will get share @ rs.285. then you will seat on large margin of safety. and if they fix price band @ 350 then you will not allote any share. so not to worry for nmdc. i will apply for rs.300 price band with all gun blessing(only concern is that if govenment will revise the price band from 300 to 350 to 275 to 300 then your application will be in trouble)
