being a retail investor u cannot apply for more than Rs.1 lakh. you hv to register urself as a non institutional bidder with sebi n then go forward. Nothing is first cum first serve....U apply it on the 1st day or the last day..Its all decided by LOTTERY

nobody has given me reply my friend want to apply for 2 lak rupees as a non -institutional , should he apply will he get shares

Lot of discussions going on about NHPC. The size of the issue is very big. Further, the equity size of the Company is also very big. UNder the circumstances, there are chances of getting allotment is good. At the same time, it will not give phenomenal returns as that of earlier days. May be maximum 10 to 15% on listing. NOthing more than that!

There are lot of discussions about minimum lot. It is better if people understand the concept. as a retail investor can apply up to a max sum of Rs.1.0 lac.
