The main diff betwen Reliance Power and NHPC is that, NHPC is very well esatblished company. They have completed many projects. But for RPL we all applied just by seeing its brand name. Projects under RPL may take 5 more years for completion. Projects cost will increase drastically.

NHPC IPO is a great opportunity for investors at such a low price band. The company has an excellant track record of operating 11 power stations. It is a leader in hydropower. Invest for long term.

Any idea why the overall subscription is still low (3.76 times)?
336. manish |   Link |  Bookmark | August 11, 2009 10:48:11 AM
Dear All Friend,

Your concern regarding the lower oversubscription till date is not true. As the overall IPO is around 6000 cr while adani 2500cr. It means when it is oversubscribed 3 time it means it is already oversubscribed 12 times compared to adani.
This IPO is biggest in this year,
Don't woory, be happy & stay investing.

Thanks always,

Manish Raut

Ajitg, your response to the following situation will highly be appreciated:

Can anyone tell whether NRIs can apply under Non-Institutional Investor category? I am aiming at getting more number of shares.
If the subscription for Non-Institutional Investory Category is lesser than the Retail, is adviseable to apply under NII category. Say, I will be able to invest upto Rs.189000 (double the maximum eligible for retail investors).

for hey axis msg 323--retailor (up to and including one lakh rs investment) have to apply for rate of "cut off" of rs 36/per share only. hence for this limit is imposed.if you are applying more than rs one lakh, then any rate bet 30 to 36 , you can bid.
--Hence for below one lakh --you can apply for 15 lots of 175 each
if you apply for 30 in this catagory then your application will be accepted but shall not considered for any share allotment-pl note and understand this while applying /bidding ipo in ratail catagory

Hi Everybody,

guys i have a question.
everybody is saying we can apply (Max.) for 15 lots.
why we are calculating on cut off price

as 1 lakh divided by 30 is 100000/30 = 3333
and 3333/175 = 19.047
that means 19 lots

so can we apply for 19 lots?
