Thanks ajitg for your detailed explanation

As a thumb rule, based on my experience:
Retail subscription multiplies by 8 times on the last day of IPO.
So, if its 2 times day, then finally it would be around 15-16 times.

ONE SHOULD FEEL PROUD ON ALLOTMENT OF NHPC SHARE. IT IS PRODUCING CLEEN POWER BY USING WATER. WATER IS RAW MATERIAL. MOST OF THE POWER STATIONS ARE DEPENDING ON HIMALAYAN RIVER, WHERE SOURCE OF WATER IS MELTING OF ICE. SO MINOR DRAUGHT CONDITION WILL NOT AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF NHPC IN ANY WAY. IN LONG RUN COAL MAY FINISH OR BE COSTLIER. BUT THE WATER CYCLE WILL NEVER COMPLETE.
FROM THE AVAILABLE REPORT IN WEB SITE ANY ONE CAN FIND THE PERFORMANCE AND PROFITABILITY IS CONSISTENTLY INCREASING IN EVERY FINANCIAL YEAR. CONSIDERING ALL ABOVE, THE SHARE PRICE OF NHPC WILL NEVER GO BELOW ITS ISSUE PRICE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. IT WILL DEFINITELY PERFORM WELL AS COMPARED TO OTHER PSU POWER SECTORS LIKE NHPC, POWERGRID, PTC, PFC, REC, AND REST OTHERS.
THANKS AND I HOPE THOSE WHO READ THIS WILL DEFINITELY REMEMBER ME IN FUTURE.

how many share alloted nhpc in full application & whats price listing
391. ajitg |   Link |  Bookmark | August 11, 2009 5:26:50 PM
for 392-JP
open nse web page ,open ipo page, click on nhpc -if more ipo s are open at a time -then click on view NSE-BSE Demand graph--there in summary find out how many shares are applied at cutoff . That fig divide by retail portion reserved shares (49---some thing) then you get number of times over subscription at that perticular time(up to that time)--is this ok???--now at 17 hrs it is 46----some things --that is near to 0.9 times subscribed

Sorry, presently generation of NHPC is 5175MW which I write wrongly That is 5135MW in the Posting

NHPC is one of the biggest hydropower generating govt. company in the India which is also responsible for the sustainable development and judcious use of the resource.
presently NHPC generating 5135MW of Electricity and added upto 6000MW of electricity by 2012.
Most of the people apply for the Shares of Reliance Power & Adani Power and many other power sector company's who does not have any asset pertaining to Hydropower or power generating record and only claim for generating hydropower.
I requested the people to invest in the IPO/Shares of NHPC with full support/Heart without any hesitation as this company is going to rock the share market in the near future.
Thanks.

Though the issue has been fully subscribed on the 1st day, there is not much of participation in the second and third days. Ofcourse retail level applications will be received on the final day. may be one or max two times, this issue will get subscribed at retail level. if they can fix the price at the lower end, it would leave a small portion on the table for the investors. since huge quantity will be in the offering on listing, it may not fetch a great return.

Friends,

As far as retail segment is concerned, NHPC ipo is 2 times bigger than that of adani power. Adani power had allotted around 8.3 crore shares @ 100/- per share totalling 830 crores, whereas in the case of NHPC around 49 crores shares are alloted at 36/- per share amounting to 1764 crores. Adani was oversubscribed by 3 times. Even if NHPC is oversubsribed by 3 times, at the end of the day it is NHPC which is going to get good response than adani. Apply with courage and reap the benefits in the long term. DDont panic and sell on listing date. NHPC should be a multi bagger in the longer term.
