Many people of asking about how much they would get the allotment. Simple answer is 'you will the shares that was allooted by the company'. You MUST wait till the announceement comes out. Pls do not flood this forum with the individual allotment related queries. Instead use it constructively to discuss about the share value, performance, .. etc

I applied on NHPC through icicidirect. But the money is still deducted from account. Can you please what could be the reason? Is anybody applied through icicidirect?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks,
Ajay

754 & 755
Actualy,if you wanted to make price bids, you were free to make
upto 3 bids, specifying number of shares corresponding to price
levels.
For instance, one could have bid for
175x19 shares @ 30, 16 lots @ 32 & 12 lots @ 36
Then only ,you would have been considered for allotment even in
case of final issue price being decided at the ceiling price/max price i.e.Rs 36/- for the number of shares you filled in for
buying at that price ( 12 lot or whatever you indicate ).

Now , they will go by what you have written in the form,i.e. you
want 175x19 shares @ Rs.30 per share and nothing if price is
higher.

Your best bet now is that NHPC decides for a price @Rs 30 per
share for at least the retail investors thogh chance for it is
very slim.Bright side,if it so happens, you will get more shares then all others who have applied for 15 lots @ cut off price.

Hope it is clear & in future, U will make proper choices while filling up the appln foe any IPO.

good Luck.

That is because all employees are not savvy investors....
Also their lack of interest means they are dedicated employees...good for us.....

The retail portion is subscribed at 5.71 times .To calculate the allotment of shares just divide your applied shares with 5.71 .

for eg 1400 shares applied ..then allotment will be calculated as 1400/5.71 =245 shares ...enjoy :)

Whatz the rationale for your believe that 875 shares would be allotted.

Hi 767 Think Straight

The possible reasons for under-subscription of employee portion are:

(a) Firstly, most of the public Sector employees are 3rd and 4th Grade emplyees who may not be able to mobilize funds.
(b) Secondly, most of these employees might not be having DEMAT accounts.
(c) Finally and most importantly, EMPLOYEE PORTION of shares have a lock-in period of one year (which means they can sell their shares only after one year). Most of them, due to the recent debacle of stock markets due to recession, might not have got confidence.
In my opinion, any employee portion subscribed more than 50% is a success.
Further, the same was the case with Adani Power too.

Hope these reasons are convincing.

761. Yash.
hello.. you will definitely will get around 350 to 400 shares depending upon cut off subscription. please wait for some time..dont hold NHPC, take gains on listing day itself.. Its PE is around 30+ i.e valuation is high. If You are long term horizon say for 3 years then you will get good returns.

Hi Guys. Just experienced from Adani Power....NHPC in retail category have been oversubscribed by 3 times. It means if someone has applied for 2625 shares, will get 875 shares.

HI GUYS,
HAVE SEEN THE FINAL PICTURE OF NHPC IPO. NOTE THAT THE EMPLOYEE PORTION IS UNDER-SUBSCRIBED WHILE THE REST OF THE PORTIONS ARE TOO OVER-SUBSRIBED.
WHY DID THE EMPLOYEES DID NOT JOIN THE PARTY TO ACCPLY THERIER OWN CO. SHARES?
LACK OF FUNDS (OR) LACK OF INTEREST DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT (OR)PERCIVED BAD MARKET CONDITIONS?
CAN ANY BODY THROW LIGHT ON THIS.
