Most IPOs are oversubscribed nowadays. So, it is purely lottery.
Undersubscribed issues can get proportionate allotment.

To my knowledge, only private banks like ICICI, RBL, YES, KOTAK , INDUSIND are providing such facility

@KGSKIPO out of all this banks which bank gives best interest and also has max time limit for applying the IPO at the last day.
Usually we subscribe to IPO after seeing QIB subscriptions and they come very late on the last day, so if the bank has late cutoff time for application that it really helps us.

@Mmtfa Yes, you can but only upwards. But, not all brokers or banks allow that, so check with yours first...

@Mmtfa Yes, you can update the application with a higher amount in HDFC ASBA. Status will be moved to 'Executed' only by end of day, till then it will show under process.
