Applying for IPO under Retail quota is a bull... How I will explain???
1. Listing gains expected for over subscribed IPO only. If the IPO is over subscribed by many times chances of allotment is almost zero. (May be 1 lot). Listing gains expected for over subscribed IPO only.
2. If the IPO is not subscribed fully, then we will received share for applied quantity but there wont be any listing gains.
For IPO''''s only these two options, in either cases the gain is absolute zero. Hence, My suggestion is not to apply for any IPO. instead, buy in secondary market...
Golden rule of IPO is very simple. If the issue is likely to subscribe heavily in HNI and FII quota we should also apply. If it is not getting sufficient subscription we should also leave. This is valid for most of the IPO. Going by the so far trend of NH it is better to give it a miss.
