Only becayou disclosed that you are a Lady, and not Sir Ji. This forum is an anonymous forum and no one expects their real identity to be made known for public consumption. But you have been one of a kind. Thank you for that!!
Respect is not becaof your age or position or gender. But due to the wealth of information you are making available to the boarders.
Sincerely appreciate all the hard work you do to dig out information from various quarters. Do keep up the good work.
My gut feeling is you may be from the financial services sector(CA!) or connected to a brokerage. Just a hunch.
Irrespective, my 5 paise advice to the members here is get all the information from whatever sources you have access to, and take your independent call. Don''''t go by what others said or do. Don''''t ask someone whether they are applying or not. It is your money, your call and whether + or - is yours. IPOs or for that matter stock markets are not an one way ticket to make money.
When you lost money or made money sit back and analyse what you did right or wrong. Be happy when you made some money. Don''''t crib when your call did not go according to your wishes. Market is not obliged to go your way. It has an independent mind of its own. Take consolation that the loss is also a stepping stone for being a more experienced player and it was the price you paid for educating yourself.
Even when you have lost money, don''''t stay away from the market. If you say good bye, you are saying good bye to your losses forever. Instead stay in the market, hone your skills, recoup losses and go onwards for more riches.

Dear Prakashbhai,
Thank you for your kind words of appreciation ...
as I have said before ... I believe that I should not expect something without giving anything in return .. so I provide factual information ... with the expectation that I will learn something from the experts in this group.
No, I am not "from the financial services sector(CA!) or connected to a brokerage". Actually, I am an MEng in Mechanical Engineering ... graduated recently and now looking for a job.
I happened to come across this site (quite by accident) and got interested ... so trying to learn along the way.
Cheers !!!
BTW ... "Bahen Ji" ... makes me sound so desi :)
also, is this not the same post as the one you has posted earlier?? 249.12. prakash kundur Dec 21, 2015 7:04:24 PM IST
It is the same one that you have referred. Becait was a reply, it got lost in the earlier of messages and many would not read it. I thought you need more coverage and thought more people would read it if is posted as a new one.
Nice to know that you are a PG in engineering. All the best for your job search.
I strongly feel that you have an aptitude and inclination to the financial markets. You can try some investment banker/ brokerage firm too. When they need to analyse something in the engineering sector, they would get stumped. You would fit the bill very well then. I know of an youngster, MD in the US from a top medical school, followed it up with an MBA and picked up by Goldman Sachs for whetting investment proposals from the bio tech/ medical field. You can do very well too.
Try Rakesh Jhunjhunwala . As a demo piece pick up an engineering firm, analyse so thoroughly and send him a report with all the frills, that he gets impressed and calls you for a chat!! No. I won''t charge you a placement fee for this.
Bahen ji was on the lighter side, as an antidote to Sir ji. ☺
More IPOs in the pipeline. Get back to work!!!

Sir I do not understand your meaning. I agree that no one can predict with 100% accuracy. But I have the same feeling till today that: this will koooooooooot u this will loooooooooot u
However, I accepted my defeat with StarIPo be cahe was getting too serious as if this Company belongs to him. He was adament to get me hospitalised, so I decided to accept defeat.
And if I am to decided everything by Grey market bhavs than there is no need to apply my own brain.
As of now and as earlier also, i am of the firm opinion that this will kooot & loot retailers. Grey market bhavs are just honey traps, so I dont care about that.
Chemcho Bhai,
I am still having same opinion. no change. enjoy the returns on listing.he...he....
Mr. Singh - Thanks for reading the line so carefully. I am not predicting but only think. (Gut Feeling ONLY) Thanks once again for reading my post and commenting on it. Lets see what will happen on listing day assuming that you have applied.

Narayana Hrudayalaya GMP 21-23 per Share (holding up since last evening)
Nh issue shows the love of IPO addicted retailers, the issue is heavily priced having single digit ronw. some persons say many business tycon bill gates etc are ready for charity but remember you cannot mix chartiy with business once you do it you would be a failure in long term. the vision of these tycon are much broder and very clear if they have to go for charity they would go direct. some rumuors are also there its being next indigo, my view no way what ever the listing be it will close at issued price within the same day or the next day with downward bias in short term. Only silver lining is if there is some good news in budget on affordable hospitality.

people were looking at profit of company , QIB take every think into consideration
starting an new multispeciality hospital cost rs 1 cr per bed it has 5600 bed and potential to reach 6600 beds ie 6600 crore is today total cost of NH WHILE THEIR ISSUE IS OF RS 613 CRORE
You are conveniently forgetting that this issue represents only 12% of the capital. So, saying 5600 beds worth 613 crores is not right. If I read the prospectus correctly it says the hospital has 5442 operational beds & in that case 613 crore represents only 12% of the total bed or nearly 653 beds. But is an As-s-et worth if it''s not generating enough income. Lastly, it''s supposed to be low cost model means cost per bed should be lower.
Speculations are already a part of this market ..But some people here assume thats what''s the value of the company .Guys stock market is not about grey market and listing gains..Some people really need to grow up and Iook beyond that
Also remember price of share is decided in a room not by comparing with PE/EPS/LISTED COMPANY etc

That''s not fair !!! Please do not make it personal ..
He was so kind and took all that effort to give his opinion and analysis ... how many people do that, huh?
He raised so many relevant points that I had to go back to re-read the RHP all over again .... I have learnt so much from him, I cannot thank him enough for that !!

Haa.haa. Star IPO, as I mentioned earlier also, I will not be admitted to NH becaof good listing (if at all happens), becaI have not applied in this IPO for reasons already mentioned. In one of my earlier mails I had accepted my defeat as you seem to be a really knowledgeable person. I once again accept my defeat and pray that that this IPO lists as as high premium as you wish.
Now coming to my point, I dont care what grey market says. The sole motive of grey market is to induce retail investors to invest (in case of bogus company) and purchase shares at cheap rates from retailers (in case of good Company).
So dont get carried by grey market bhavs. Some gentleman told that it was quoting in 40s some 5 days back then crack down heavily to below 10 and now once again 20. This Bhavs are basically to fool retail public. I need not give examples for last 1 years IPOs. More than 50% IPOs are trading below issue price. All these were trading at a premium before IPO closure.
One more thing, why should I book a bed in NH? I have not applied so i dont have any risk?
But those, who have applied becaof IPO wave or liquidity, should try and get their shares offloaded in grey market (if buyer is there) beacat the end of the day:-
THIS WILL LOOOOOOOT U... THIS WILL KOOOOOOOT U..
One more thing after listing NH''s profit may rise as a lot of investors will need its services... he..he.. (Disclaimer: - I have not invested in nor planning to invest in Nh)

By the way, which Company''s mediclaim should I apply for, in case I get admitted to NH. he...he
M Gupta. Remember Monte Carlo? People resorted to abu-se, which were later removed by moderators. Investment is about being proved right, later. However I am still of the opinion even listing will be managed and there might not a lot of surprise both upside of downside.

Narayana Hrudayalaya GMP 21-22 per Share
Heard of heavy Short covering happening in grey market ... all those who bought the retail applications were calculating 60 shares to be allotted per application ... with the oversubscription now retail applications will get less than 45 shares per application ... This has led to the short covering in the grey market ... and there is a fear that the premium may go to a much higher level

Eagleye.one more thing ..nobody was expecting that NH WILL b sub by more than one time application wise..and so many broker have sorted shares....now they will try to cover all those shares...
eagleeye: I think as per sebi rules person cannot be allotted less than indicative quantity..either it has to be 0 or 60..are you sure on this 45

You are right the allotment will be 0 or 60 ... but if you had made say 10 application ... due to the over subscription, not all applications will get allotment ... so e.g. as an average maybe 7 out of 10 application get allotment ... that will mean you got 420 shares instead of 600 shares (which would have been the case had there been a firm allotment in all 10 applications). Hence the derived average of 42 instead of 60 shares.
