When is the issue likely to be listed and how many shares are likely to be alloted to an applicant in retail category having invested Rs 99000/=

There seems some misunderstading abouut refund.Pl read following information.
1. We have heard that SEBI has allowed use of ECS for refunds in the issue process? Now will all the applicants get refund through ECS?

Yes, SEBI vide its circular dated January 20, 2006, has permitted use of ECS for refunds in the issue process. However to start with, SEBI has made it mandatory that the applicants in 15 cities viz. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram will get refunds through ECS. Applicants in other cities will get refunds through normal practice of registered / ordinary post.

dear akka,
there are ten metro cities where ECS is 100% compulsory even if u have account in cooperative bank. So u live in Mumbai where ECS is compulsory. It doesnot depends on registrar services. It depends on banking services. Some banks deny to take ECS clearing ( becoz banks can charge small fee for each ECS clearing, presently HDFC is giving ECS clearing facility at free of cost and hence people having accounts in these banks get 80% of refund ) remember these charges are borne by issuing company.

Dear Akka, I am getting ECS refunds for all other IPOs I applied where Intime Spectrum is not as the registrar. Why only I will get refund through cheque whenever it is Intime Spectrum as registrar, it happened even in Central Bank IPO to me. Please even see 595 message in this message board. I think it is fault with Intime Spectrum capability.

Hi I have applied for 120 @ cutoff. Any idea if I will be allotted anything?
608. AKKA |   Link |  Bookmark | November 9, 2007 6:51:52 PM
DEAR jagan, this is not true, here in mumbai i m regularly getting refund through ECS only since last 18 months r u from mumbai or better check your bank details with your dp.give you dp a zeroxe copy of your latest cheque leaf i m sure this will definately solve your problem
607. Jagan |   Link |  Bookmark | November 9, 2007 6:13:20 PM
Yes, Intime is the worst registrar, it only sends the refund through cheque not ECS. How they are wasting our time and money. I won't prefer any IPO which has Intime as a registrar next time.

Hi All,
According to NSE website the retail category is having a total bid for 186882270 shares at cutoff for 12030000 shares. The company has fixed a price of Rs 440 which means the other price bids need not be taken into account. It gives us a oversubscription of 15.534686 or say 15.54 times.Since the allotment pattern has to be better for applicants under the maximum size there will be firm allotment of 15 shares for all valid and correct applications who bid for 225 shares.
How allotment is made in case of O/S is given in the DRHP:
Method of Proportionate Basis of Allotment in the Issue
In the event of the Issue being over-subscribed, the Company shall finalise the basis of Allotment in consultation with the
Designated Stock Exchange. The Executive Director (or any other senior official nominated by them) of the Designated Stock
Exchange along with the Book Runners and the Registrar to the Issue shall be responsible for ensuring that the basis of
Allotment is finalised in a fair and proper manner.
The Allotment shall be made in marketable lots, on a proportionate basis as explained below:
a) Bidders will be categorised according to the number of Equity Shares applied for.
b) The total number of Equity Shares to be allotted to each category as a whole shall be arrived at on a proportionate basis,
which is the total number of Equity Shares applied for in that category (number of Bidders in the category multiplied by the
number of Equity Shares applied for) multiplied by the inverse of the over-subscription ratio.
c) Number of Equity Shares to be allotted to the successful Bidders will be arrived at on a proportionate basis, which is total
number of Equity Shares applied for by each Bidder in that category multiplied by the inverse of the over-subscription
ratio.
d) In all Bids where the proportionate Allotment is less than 15 Equity Shares per Bidder, the Allotment shall be made as
follows:
● The successful Bidders out of the total Bidders for a category shall be determined by draw of lots in a manner such
that the total number of Equity Shares allotted in that category is equal to the number of Equity Shares calculated in
accordance with (b) above; and
● Each successful Bidder shall be allotted a minimum of 15 Equity Shares.
e) If the proportionate Allotment to a Bidder is a number that is more than 15 but is not a multiple of 1 (which is the
marketable lot), the decimal would be rounded off to the higher whole number if that decimal is 0.5 or higher. If that
number is lower than 0.5 it would be rounded off to the lower whole number. Allotment to all in such categories would be
arrived at after such rounding off.
f) If the Equity Shares allocated on a proportionate basis to any category are more than the Equity Shares allotted to the
Bidders in that category, the remaining Equity Shares available for Allotment shall be first adjusted against any other
category, where the allotted shares are not sufficient for proportionate Allotment to the successful Bidders in that category.
The balance Equity Shares, if any, remaining after such adjustment will be added to the category comprising Bidders
applying for minimum number of Equity Shares.
Hope this clears everybody's doubts on allotment pattern.
