I have applied in Vectors IPO, amount ha got blocked but in angel broking it's saying "You have cancelled the transaction" so finally what would happen , is this applied or not ?
@TSG thank you. I am just sharing what I have learnt over the years and now have been doing. I preach what I practice. I will be more than happy if anyone benefits from my post even though it reduces my chances of allocation due to increased competition in retail. We all are in same boat and should help each other.

Hi ! I have 20 lacs in my saving account. Should I apply with maximum lot in NII or just 1 lot in RII? I applied with maximum lots in Burger King but got Zero allotment.
Apply one lot in retail. Retail has 35% reservation so better chance of allotment. HNI is already aroun 575X so difficult allotment below 1CR Application

For your 20lac 138 lots will come . In as of now subscription nearlyb540 times in HNI. Ulyou need more lots . So better to apply in Retail one lot
@TSG I had replied this one of the earlier post. 20Lac application in HNI is not 1/5. Read following detail to understand.
BoA is not that simple. There is one more factor that needs to be considered i.e. number shares allocated for each category in addition to ratio of allotment. Another thing that has to be considered is how shares are distributed in different categories - for retail distribution is equal based on number of applications for all categories while in HNI it is proportionate.
Basically all applications are put together based on number of lots applied for. So all those who applied for 1 lot go together in category 1, those who applied for 2 lots go together in category 2 etc.
Going by the e.g. of Chemcon
Category 1(Retail bids 1 lot - 44 shares) No of applications - 1769347 Total No of shares applied - 77851268 Ratio of allotment (2:53 - 1:26.5) Total No of Shares for category - 2938936 (66794 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.66
Category 2(Retail bids 2 lots - 88 shares) No of applications - 96993 Total No of shares applied - 8535384 Ratio of allotment (2:53 - 1:26.5) Total No of Shares for category - 161084 (3661 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.66
Category 14(HNI bids 14 lots - 616 shares) No of applications - 1414 Total No of shares applied - 871024 Ratio of allotment (22:707 - 1:32.14) Total No of Shares for category - 1936 (44 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.37
Category 17(HNI bids 17 lots - 748 shares) No of applications - 66 Total No of shares applied - 49368 Ratio of allotment (1:22) Total No of Shares for category - 132 (3 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 2
Category 18(HNI bids 18 lots - 792 shares) No of applications - 50 Total No of shares applied - 39600 Ratio of allotment (1:25) Total No of Shares for category - 88 (2 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.76
Now in this if you see category 17 and 18 allotment ratios were 1:22 and 1:25 which is prima facie better then retail allotment ratio 1:26.5 which would make us believe that chances of allotment in this is better. Now check how many lots are available in these categories - only 3 for 17 and 2 for 18. Compare this number of lots available for retail. You will realize what I mean. In category 17 even though ratio is better then retail due on 3 lots being available you get only 3 opportunities to get selected. Similarly in Category 18 you get only 2 opportunities to get selected. While in retail Category 1 there are 66794 so you get 66794 opportunities to selected. Now which one do you think has more chance of allotment of 1 lot. Add to this if instead of applying 14 lots in HNI if you apply 14 different applications you are multiplying your chance of allotment.
There is one more thing in HNI - Chemcon was subscribed 445.47 times so all those who applied for 446 lots have confirm allotment. Below 445 lots if there are categories which have very less applications then there is very high possibility none of them get any allotment as no shares get allocated to that category during distribution.
Based on this detail research I have been advising retail to apply 1 lot multiple applications. I am doing the same and enjoying allotments and profits:).
I don't think this logic is correct. category 17 and 18 in your example will receive unequal allocation depending on how many applicants fall in respective category. Can experts pls clarify ?
Categories 17 and 18 have actually received unequal allocations. Read the post carefully. Category 17 were allocated 132 shares (3 lots) and category 18 were allocated 88 shares (2 lots). This is not on made up data. This is based on genuine BoA of Chemcon which is publicly available on this forum.

I have applied on day 1 of subscription via zerodha but when I am checking my application status on bse site its showing no record found. Please guide me.
Also is there any other way to verify our application is properly submitted or not
Go to console ipo window > Click on Mrs Bec > status, if it shows request accepted by sponsor bank, your application is submitted. If amt is not blocked it will show blocked after some time
On basis of allotment day - when you enter your details it will show if you've even applied for the ipo or not ( This is just for your reference that makes you sure that you've applied for the ipo )
@Vaibhav sawant, same is the case with me also, my amount is blocked but when i check the application status on BSE site, it shows no record found. I am not sure, if this is the case with others also. Experts please guide..
