See BoA for recent IPOs. Allotment is proportionate wrt number of applications made on that particular lot. Also allotment probability will increase if one applies at higher lots. To increase chances is to have more applications at particular lot.

Exactly, that's my understanding too.
Which is why I asked if blocking 2 lots worth of funds is expected to have higher probability of allotment or not.

I use it, when i miss the 2 pm deadline by sbi asba....
I applied in arihant, uma converter and moxsh through this website...
4 applications each.

It seems to be a good option because SBI ASBA time though is upto 2 pm on last day but I couldn't apply through it even before 2 pm. I think practically, it closes by 1 pm.
Do you know till what time UPI platform can be used.

UPI timing is 5 pm for bid acceptance and application submission
If you are applying more than 2 lakhs but upto 5 lakhs . which is hni category, then bid submission time is 4 pm
And the UPI bid for hni can be accepted until 5 pm.

When there is dilemma, generally I apply in morning n return at 4 pm to took final decision of whether to accept mandate or not.
Generally never apply very late which may cause mandate issues.
For a bid upto fiveL, you can use zerodha till 4:30.
