aAfter seeing last days subscription one can decide weather to apply or no.if u are not in position to decide.in such type of ipo retail investor has ti think twice. apply on last day. at the end of last day see subscription detail. then decide. if u r not interested. then make stop payment.if subscripyion is less than 15 times in retail portion then ignore it this my personal view.at this time there are no more good ipo at present, that is why we have to think. becauue at present money is lying idle in bank.
Look at the other brokerage houses listed in the stock markets. JM Financial, India Infoline, India Bulls and Geojit.
Motilaloswal has the largest number of branches compared to all the listed peers and amazing track record. Its also a top brokerage house offering PMS service. At a price of 825 it may look the stock is fully priced. But the next 5 years is when the real value of the stock is going to come out. If infosys is for IT, DLF for realty, L&T for Engg & Infrastructure, Its Motilal Oswal for Brokerage services. If india bulls financials (5 Rupee share could touch Rs 600) I feel Motilaloswal has the potential to go to 1500 in 3 to 6 months time. But there wont be much listing gains ...About 100 - 150 rs thats it. My advise dont miss this IPO especially retailers as most of them would be scared to apply for this IPO, here is your chance to make some money. See what happened in DLF....!!!
why should i apply in motilal oswal even if i think it goes from 825 to 1050 listing what will i get 225*8 = 1800rs what is it nothing if i apply for lakh in dlf now i will earn more that what i will earn in applying in mofl in 20 days. so dear motilal oswal ur stock would have been interesting only if u have left room for it to atleast double on listing like icra, nitinfire, vishalretail, mic did.
New Vernon and Bessemer have bought more than 9% stake in Motilal Oswal Securities for Rs 125 crore. New Vernon has picked up about 6.5% of the total 9%.
Rajiv Sahney of New Vernon Capital believes it is a good time to be a part of the brokerage industry because it is becoming a lot more institutionalised and is going to get larger as it needs to channel domestic savings into the most productive uses.
Talking about Motilal Oswal, Sahney says the firm's listing would not be seen as an exit opportunity and New Vernon Capital would hold the shares well past the listing period. He also discusses the company's other investments in India.
