I think all the nice comments about EMAAR are being posted by the merchant banker's boys. Emaar must have blasted them yesterday so the whole night they have started to blog good things about emaar.

However, the bottomline still remains..this company thought that they can demand whatever, and because every merchant banker of the country is associated with them, they will walk away with 6400 crores and will think to repay us after 2011.

Good luck to all the merchant banker's boys, you've got a lot of work for the next 4 days. blog on other sites too. Chittorgarh fellows are too smart for you.

Cut-off price means the investor is ready to pay whatever price is decided by the company at the end of the book building process. Retail investor has to pay the highest price while placing the bid at Cut-Off price. If company decides the final price lower then the highest price asked for IPO, the remaining amount is return to the retail investor.

Read this..it's good article which i found on internet.

Thanks Mr. Vikram

But alays cut-off price is referred to the higher band of the amount right. Let say here EMAAR has fixed the price band 540-630. So cut-off is referred to Rs630/- here right?

If we are quoting for the lesser price then its is not for sure that we will get the bid or not as other would have quoted the higher margin.

It is always advisable for retail investor to bid on Cut-off. So he will get the share on cut-off price. No matter whether price changes or not.
So if u applied on cut-off, then don't worry u will get it on Rs.530. Still if u wan to cancel ur apllication, u can consult ur broker and ask him to cancel.
318. Investy |   Link |  Bookmark | February 7, 2008 7:26:26 AM
Now is it possible to revoke the application done already?
or
Is there any way that I could modify the amount which is already applied?
or
How can it be done? any idea?
or
Should I cancel it and re-apply again?

As the end date for Emaar has been extended, can an already submitted online IPO application for EMAAR be modified now?

HAHA whats the trick done by the company......... LOWER THE PRICE BAND........

315. jo |   Link |  Bookmark | February 6, 2008 11:47:24 PM
This issue is not worth investing even if they extend it to 11 Feb 2009 and even if they reduce the priceband to 150
314. khilan |   Link |  Bookmark | February 6, 2008 9:20:15 PM

to 310 rocky.

Situation in primary market is going from bad to worst. Its workt like vegetable market. Already tril and bgr managed to collect more money than deserving from market. Now people are bying value stocks like DLF, Unitech, orbit, etc.

WHAT COULD BE THE POSSIBLE REASON OF EXTINDING TIME IN WOCKHARD AND EMMAR??

EPS less than a rupee and share offered more than 300.

These Lead managers are the greedeeest of them all.

SEBI SHOULD TAKE A LOOK INTO THIS MATTER ASAP.

Still at the lower band of Rs.530, the PE works out to 200, which is toooooooooooo high! However, with the extension of 5 more days, the issue would be subscribed in full. Those whoever applied will get allotment.

The company is good, but the IPO pricing. It is still overpriced, in the current market trends. The ideal price would have been Rs.450.

All the best to those who applied. If the current market trend continues till the month-end, the listing price would be Rs.450 or below.

I am from Dubai and know about Emaar very well. With the government allotted land they build the world's tallet tower. Their share itself is quoted at around Rs.125 (12 Dirhams) per share and the company makes a profit of Rs.65 billion (6500 crores) with the same equity base.

Re: Rocky message 310:
If the issue is 3-4 times subscribed..means nothing. There are reports in moneycontrol that promoters are discounting the isue and getting private bankers and mutual funds to invest. These investors might pull out. Remember they are getting the shares at a substantial discount if the above is true. If some one will get hurt it is retail investors like me. You can choose a rocky issue. I prefer value issues. Thanks
