Don't say thanks to me I always avoid overhyped overpriced issue. Promoters are very greedy. With Rs.4400 per share I would rather invest in blue chip companies available at reasonable valuation.

First make it clear whether you are looking at valuation (pe) when investing or looking at price (rate) per share. If you calculate in this way and invest that you will never dare to invest in tcs, Britannia, infosys. If metropolis is 4400/- than what about tcs & infosys. Just calculate and than your temperature will go up. Hope you understand
As already said before promoters are not good. Nothing left for investors. Overpriced overvalued company. Rs.4400 per share for such a company is very very expensive. Not worth it.
@arundp acha hua aapne apply nai kiya. kisi aur ko allotted hoga aur uski dua milegi. yaha pe sirf 2 logo pe hi apply karta hoon apply never mind its facevalue 2 or 1. @chemcho @eagleye. keep continue your feedback. I just read here for your comment. baki sab listing pe @arundp dekh lega aapka perfomance.
How many would apply if ipo was priced at 4400. None. So to fool the retailers like eagle eye and others they brought in face value of Rs.2. Employees have applied only 150 shares. Clear indication highly overpriced. Listing will be below ipo price and then you calculate eps and pe.

This is with reference to why employees wont apply for an IPO. (As they will get options at fraction of price depending on designation/years of service etc.

You seem to be quite learned about stock valuations on the basis of the concept of face value.
Can you please also explain to me the concept of Earning per Share & Price Earning Multiple ?
Everyone these days seem to be using those 2 criteria also to value a stock
Nice sarcasm eagleye however for those guys E who are still learning, EPS ( Earning per Share) is net income of company divided by number of shares. It indicates profitability of shares. P/E(Price-to-Earning) is ratio of market value of share to EPS. In vague terms it indicates number of years that it would require to get back the purchase price of share. It is important indicator when you apply for IPO.
I don't see any gain during listing as it is highly overvalued in my opinion. Promoters are greedy and is better to avoid such companies. Much much better companies available why should I give unlisted company 4400 per share.

1. Employees not applying IPO 2. Owner divesting below controlling share portion 3. One of the partners, Carlyle group considerably divesting shares before IPO ( note if Carlyles think it's not worth to be invested in company then it's doubtful to invest ) All these reasons kept me away from this IPO. But I can see many have applied. Hope I be wrong and wish you guys windfall)

There was no discount to employees in Metropolis unlike Polycab where 53/- means 10% discount is being given, that may be reason of boycott by employees.
