This is a clarification on the question whether ipo applied from third party bank account gets allotment or not..I applied metropolis from third party bank accountonly to get this confirmation. I got alloted shares and thus the question is resolved that we can still apply for ipos from third party bank accounts. Cheers and wishes to those who applied for polycab through same route..

Good to know that. I applied 1 IPO from third party bank and was wondering that it might be due to new rule. But now after your post it confirmed that we can still apply probably till june.

One thing I'm noticing constantly is - any applications through ICICI (Direct) has not been alloted. Any reason??

It is not the case.
I have alloted 2/2 applied through ICICI Direct.
Allotment is based on lottery.

I had applied for only 1 lot through ICICI Direct since it was already oversubscribed. Did not get it. Does the allotment depend on the broker?

My main question is - Should we buy on Monday post listing?

I had applied for 10 lots from ICICI direct account... have been allotted 0 shares... Same thing happened with me for RVNL... applied for 13 lots from two accounts allotted 0 shares. And i am bidding at cut off price... Not sure what is going wrong with my subscription... any ideas or i am just being plain unlucky.

@Shikhar - Don't worry. It happens... But, see you luck, RVNL didn't had any listing gain. Good for you. :)

Applied for 2 lots (34 units). The Linkintime website shows 0 allotment. (ICICI bank)

Okay! I didn't know about this 1.77X Subscription at an application level! So, You are saying Rejection is generally ~10% (1.59 out of 1.77), then probability of getting a lot is 63% (1/1.59). That's quite high and hence can explain the above comments!

Hope the listing is great as well! Still tentative though whether I will hold it for long or exit for quick listing gain (if any)!
