Personally applying here to pick up a couple of lots - don't see much downside, and there's 30-50% upside (depending on H2 results vis a vis a simple comparision with Chavda).

For a 3 year old company, their PnL & balance sheet are excellent, and Q4 is usually the best qtr in this sector. May need to hold for results.

Looks like QIB are even more FOMO than retail and wait for other QIBs to come :)

@rohiitian Yes you are right and I am just purchased Chavda some days back but this co has cheaper valuation... Also I have read somewhere that Mason have order book of around 500cr

Question- if I have money for one SME then should I apply for Mason or Petro Carbon which is closing tomorrow?

Mason will be 30-35x looks like, while Petro will be 100-120x. So you can take a call accordingly. Im just going with retail in Petro, have gone FF here & some amount in Sylvan.

Yesterday I did a rough analysis on what could subscription figures be.

Shivalik - 400x
Sylavn - 200x
Mason - 100x
Visaman - 70x
Money Fair - 100x
Divine - 500x
Petro - 200x

My expectation was close to 7000 Cr will poured into todays SMEs.
Actual figure though is slightly lower 5600 Cr.
Assuming 11000 Cr to be the total base - 5400 Cr still left in the bank.

I feel Petro may go close to 200x, Divine 500x+, Money Fair may lag behind with 100x.

Even though GMP is high and stable, I'm not sure if listing will meet the expectations.
Valuation wise it does look expensive, but Indian market in general is on steriods and ignoring the valuations for now.
A lot would depend on how QIBs would play tomorrow.

@GrayIsTheNewBlack Yes fairly positive. It's cheaper on EV / EBITDA basis than peers (by 35-50%). And they have room to grow EBITDA % (and have explained that well), so people who take a bet by valuing it even at peer-level EV / EBITDA can still see good upside in the long term.

Hey @rohiitian - I was opening the ICICI account today.
Had a query, on allotment does that FD break or you transfer the additional funds in the account to ensure it doesn't break ?

@GrayIsTheNewBlack I usually keep 5-6L in my savings account for regular use so it circulates from that. But yes sometimes when i get big allotments (eg. Voda, or some multiple lot ones), or many allotments within few days (rare as that is), that allotment amount excess will break from FD. Bulk of FD anyway remains untouched.

So, on allotment just transfer the needed funds into that Ac..

Any idea how difficult it is now to update to his PAN now ?
To be honest banking industry is filled with incompetent idiots in India, bas insurance bechna aata hai inn logo ko.

Btw, some of the suggestions by people on 90% rule are just hilarious. Like allow only retail to buy in pre-open or allow just one lot in pre-open.
This is just one way thinking about the 90% listing candiates.
If such rule is implemented SME listings ke lag jaayenge.

Agree, the thing im most worried about is liquidity. Can't force one categorry to only sell to that category. BSE listings have been a big source of wealth destruction so i dont understand why NSE chose to follow the lead there. Could have atleast tried something new.

@GrayIsTheNewBlack When they open the account, most of time, they update the parents PAN, later next day only, you can submit a phyiscal form at branch to update the PAN to minor. I got it done next day, it was updated in 24 hours.

Will be sticking to my original decision : listing bust might not be visible outrightly, and that seems worsened by less QIB interest.

But can do well in short term. So with that in mind, have applied.

Thanks @MuStrFc . Pretty much in line with my thinking, though might flip allocation between Sylvan/Mason based on subscription. For tomorrow, Petro has some big red flags - 10xish jump in profitability on flattish revenue, full OFS and Kolkatta based company. Not sure how genuine the GMP is.
