The best ever message by @lokes regarding odd / even lot application should be bookmarked at the top of every IPO page... You may edit it to contain other relevant info too. Lokes was very kind to explain the issue in detail but we can''t expect him to repeat it again. If the resource is a click away, then it will be helpful to any person new to the forums as well.

@M.K: That can be taken as information purpose mainly, there is no such sure shot thing etc where we can try and can get allotment when applying lesser lots than HNI subscription. its more depends on luck actually, With odd lots also, someone/more people might have applied with same lots in whole big india, then it will go for lottery only. So we need luck to be single/unique for our applied lots (when more than 50% of subscription) and if not single/unique bid, then we need luck to win in lottery :) but ya sometimes if we are only 2 or 3 people also applying for similar lots, then it can increase the allotment chances to higher percentage in lottery than actual as per lots applied.
I have recently sent mail to @Team Chittorgarh giving formula to calculate percentage chances based on lots applied and HNI subscription and number of co-applicants etc, to incorporate that in site in HNI calculator segment and i provided 2-3 patterns(ways) also , how they can put that in site taking inputs from user etc.
And below is link of the older thread where i explained In detail the hni logic. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo/ipo_discussions.asp?a=1178&c=468061
@anyone Can i use same UPI for 3 different application ? I have 3 family member account and currently need to call everytime when do bid for ipo to accept the request can i use my single upi in all 3 account to block money or need seperate upi ?
Hello friends I have not allotted in Tega Ind. And my paytm upi is shows cancellation failed. So I would like to know what to do now. No refund is received yet. Thanks.
Nice to know that you are in Bhuj. I am from Bhuj but since many years I am out of Bhuj so have no connection there but I hear lots of brokers do it in Bhuj. Contact your broker, he might have some idea.

#expert #lokes # monster #amit sir It is my first application thorough asba . I gave demate details (16 digit number )of upstox in Sbi asba . Asba want client I''d. Is my application valid or cancel ? What is client I''d in upstox ? What is the best way to apply through ASBA ? Please suggest me
This account number is a 16 digit alphanumeric code. The first 8 letters is your DP ID and the last 8 digits is your Client ID. The Client ID along with your DP ID gives you a demat account a unique identification in the depository (CDSL or NSDL) where you have your demat account. Probably you need to change the depository to CDSL as upstox has been registered with CDSL. Then you just have to enter 16 digit account number.

1. you should have either of id whether it is cdsl id or nsdl id.
2. the mainboard ipo lists on both bse and nse.
3. If you have cdsl 16 digit id, it''s fine.. apply with it.
Yes, your application is valid. asba needs either cdsl id or nsdl id. you have cdsl id. good. fill your correct details, name, cdsl id, pan number.
Don''t know about UPSTOX, so Can''t suggest. Thanks

In 16 digit number of CDSL first 8 digits are dpid and the last 8 digits are client id. if the system is not allowing to enter 16 digits enter the first 8 digits in dp id and enter the remaining 8 digits in the client id.

@prasen: in SBI ASBA, you need to add applicant first then you need to use those applicants while applying for ipo so if you have already added applicant then u need to choose that. How this 16 digit or 8 digit thing will into picture now? While adding applicant in SBI ASBA, select cdsl and enter 16 digit demat number and enter name/PAN etc. And use that applicant while applying ipo by clicking on "select registered applicant"

No issue .. Money debits in gpay UPI in this way. This also happened with me thrice .
Funds of MapmyIndia will not be available for Data patterns to invest.
Because map my India - initiation of refunds is 17.12.21 And data patterns - open 14.12 and close 16.12.21 so not possible

This kind of date arrangement is advantageous to few ultra HNI investors who take loan from NBFC. A kind of discouraging environment for medium and small investors
Mean both accepted in sbi asba...? 5 demat ipo applications in single time.. 5 demat ipo applications in different time.. Both can be done..?

@kuvinder: Per ipo, you can apply 5 applications (different PAN) from SBI. So you three ipo open at same time, then you can apply for 15 applications from SBI ASBA (5 applications in each IPO)
