GMP = Grey Market Premium (per Share)
whereas,
"KOSTAK" rate is the premium one gets by selling his/her IPO application (in an off market transaction) to someone else before the finalisation of basis of allotment of the issue and as such the premium is payable irrespective of the outcome of the allotment process.

Market Pundits are saying ...
RII category will be oversubscribed 3.1X to 3.25X (on number of forms basis)
NII category will be oversubscribed more than 175X
Dear Eagleye, You estimate seems OK. However I have a feeling that OS (in terms of no of forms) may cross 4 times as (1) All reports/recommendations are very favourable. There is not a single negative report. Capital Market (Which is considered standard) has also given 48/100 rating, which is the highest in last 10 ipos. (2) In last 5 ipos investors have made a killing. So for this issue, investors will certainly be crazy to earn. (3) there is no shortage of funds as there is no bunching of ipos. Moreover most of the investors have sold their shares allotted in last 5 ipos (4) The most important thing people look at while applying is GMP. At present MGL is actively traded in grey market and Premium is also reasonably high(about Rs 120/)
I request all Boarders to express their views and interact so that common investors can be benefitted. Thanks to all.
In retail, to get sub., by 4 times, 9,79,780 applications has to be there, imo, unachievable, the best of ipo in recent past saw about 7.5 lakhs applications, Expecting 7 to 7.5 lakhs applications in retail.
Eagleye, do you suggest for applying for more than 1 lot? With such an over-subscription predicted, do you think a retail investor will get more than 1 lot alloted? I''ve heard cases in Ujjivan where people who applied for 3-4 lots were not alloted a single share.
Ipo of DHFL Bonds expected to hit the market in 3-4 weeks time. Coupon or rate of interest for fully secured AAA rated bonds will be very attractive compared to M&M FINANCE bonds issue. I guess it can be 9 to 9.25%. Get prepared to subscribe fully in all demat accounts, will be making good income.

How much should one apply in Retail Category for maximum chances of allocation? Somebody told me that apply for minimum amount that is eligible, please advise
I am a big fan of Franklin India smaller companies fund (FISCF). The value proposition and highly liquid portfolio of the fund make this a superior choice over DSP Blackrock Micro cap fund.
FISCF had also invested in Equitas holding as a highest weighted portfolio. Before equitas, they are holding Finolex cables , as their highest weighted stock.
Equitas runs from 110 to 180 and Finolex runs from 250 to 360 (also held in my personal portfolio). Considering this one may expect better than expected return from MGL. Apply with double force. Happy investing..
