LIC IPO will fail miserably if price band is not fixed properly considering RU situation. Unless dust settles, Govt. should not rush ahead. But will the govt. listen to anyone?

Very hard luck for those who are involved in LIC IPO. Now if the war escalated it would be very difficult for primary as well as secondary market. It's a good luck for the public because now govt have to think twice before deciding the price band of LIC.

In my opinion it is not possible to drop this IPO by Govt. PSUs IPOs are meant to fulfill financial requirements and under disinvestment program and required to dilute equity as per rules. As it's a huge disinvestment, Govt cannot afford to drop this IPO. It may come with better price than expected by market.
Wait and watch. No need to worry. Let only Govt. tobe worried to sail through such a big IPO as not much time left in the current financial year.
Not necessary to apply in all PSUs specifically for long term. Examples are there : Coal Idia, EIL, NMDC, NHPC and many more. May please be corrected, if wrong.
Have a better market in coming days.

The stock will have resistance @ IPO price of 866, which will be very difficult to breach. You may exit and look for better opportunities being thrown up due to correction in markets.

Íf FM want to save LIC IPO she should just increase qty of offer and reduce price as proportionate to HDFC life share & NAV less 20% discount for being inefficient PSU. Because every one knows how shares of many dead defunct companies were sold to LIC during Congress Regimes. Most of those 0 value stocks may be still included in their portfolio.

You are putting allegation on auditors that dead defunct companies shares are valued higher than current market price. There is concept of marked to market in balance sheet. Incidentally, LIC investments are merged with policyholders who gain/lose 90% of up/ down movement in price. IRDA ensures that commitment done under all the plans are reflected in solvency capital.
I would suggest that please go through annual reports before making very wide comments

Nifty p/e has taken support at 21.9 today for the 2nd time within last one month. Incidentally this is the 3m, 6m and one year support . As there is no impending result, there will be linear relationship with price now on. In the face of present scenario, breaking this point without any bounce back above this level means tremendous negative. A level of 21 (corresponding nifty pt 16100 say 16000) is a reversal point. It may be kept in mind that 2-5 year support is far lower at 17.2
Stop loss is not any effective tool in such volatile market. Circumspectively Lowering position by and by may be a better option.

This observation is important and valid. NIFTY touched yesterday 16850 before bouncing. This is the 3rd time for NIFTY move close to 16800 and with a bounce. Last two bounces were swift and forceful. Yesterday's was gradual suggesting crucial level of 16800 can be again tested or broken. That can lead to next 16500 and 16000 if current uncertainties persist. In the budget inflation was underplayed. With sanctions and other uncertainties kicking globally inflation is likely to accelerate affecting the earnings dragging indices to adjust to lowered EPS. It is likely that in order to remain at the same PE with lower earnings index may drift lower with decline in share prices. Though it is an opportunity to pick up value stocks , better to resist the temptation to buy at every fall as there may be further fall that can trap and also offering much lower opportunity.
