Its long since I have heard you.
I think if LIC brings IPO at the compelled valuation as media have raised hue and cry, it signifies that the financial condition of our country is failing both ends meet.Unless the Govt takes appropriate corrective measure , we will soon be found in the queue of Srilanka , Nepal..........At any rate, it is ideal for dismantling of equity market.
By the by the nifty point is also approaching 16800 and it will probably be the fifth time.Within one or two days it may breach the level and continue the downward journey (may be to the earlier level of 15700 who knows)

I want to know your view for the sake of reconciliation.

The government has filed a fresh draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with markets regulator Sebi for the LIC IPO and is likely to file red herring prospectus (RHP) in the first half of next week. The Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (Sebi) approval on Life Insurance Corporation‘s (LIC) updated DRHP is expected on Monday.

Issue size 21000 cr . 22 Cr Share so Expected price would 950-955 . 15 share lot.
GMP is very minimum. Atleast positive.

I will hold 22 share for long term out of 22 cr Share issued .😊😊

If it is a 21000 sized IPO at price 1000 nothing to cheer about as it will be atleast 100 times subscribed and the chunk will be taken by the influential persons in the G and L with some odds to others. War/ market condition is a plea only.
I am surprised to see the Govt vacillating for over two moths.
1.it is nothing so that the market has crashed, nor anybody knows what will happen on the fateful day may be after 15days or 10 months.
2. A distressed/afraid seller never to higgle ,should take whatever it gets at the instance. This is a selling in more distressed condition.

As per my personal knowledge, I can say that internal people of LIC are sufficient to absorb this 21000 cr IPO, no need to go outside.They are ready with money.
A) Most of 90000 employees are ready with atleast 4 lac, amounting to 2500cr
B)13.5 lac agents(some have yearly income 40 lac and above)have potential of 6500 cr or more
C)Not to speak of the remaining 12000 cr , the entire 21000 cr IPO can be subscribed by Dev. officers of LIC who are 22000 in number and many have yearly income in crore even.
Besides these there are 33 cr policy holder. 2/3 share each can bail out.
Seldom is there any good company in the country where LIC don't have 2-15% holding. They can easily persuade these companies who will be glad to concede.

This market has absorved 44cr share of SBIL, 93 Cr share of HDFCLIFE, 33cr share of ICICI PRU LIFE, 345 cr of reliance, 102 cr of Tcs, 283 cr of SBIN,876 cr of ITC, 438cr of HDFCbk, 264 cr of Axis bk . LIC's 32 cr has no place is difficult to believe.

Not to take any offence of it. I have shared as I have felt . May be wrong as well.

હવે IPO માર્કેટ માં જે HNI નું પ્રભુત્વ હતું અને promoter, operator, IPO funding NBFCs વગેરે MERCHANT BANKER સાથે મળી ઊંચા ભાવે સરળતાથી ઇસ્યુ લાવતા હતા તે GAME પુરી થઈ ગઈ છે
૧. ANCHOR INVESTORS ને ૫૦% શેરો ૯૦ દિવસ સુધી રાખવા પડશે .
૨. NBFC પાસે થી FUNDING લઈને HNI સેંકડો કરોડ ની APPLICATION કરતા હતા તે હવે VIABLE પણ નથી અને શક્ય પણ નથી. RBI એ HNI IPO APPLICATION FUNDING પર એક કરોડ ની CAP રાખી દીધી છે. અને હવે SEBI ના નિયમ મુજબ HNI QUOTA ના બે ભાગ પાડી દીધા છે . એક ભાગ જેમાં ૫% નું RESERVATION છે તેમાં ૨ લાખ થી મોટી પણ ૧૦ લાખથી નાની APPLICATION ગણાશે. બીજો ભાગ જેમાં ૧૦% નું RESERVATION છે તેમાં ૧૦ લાખથી વધારે રકમની APPLICATION ગણાશે.
૩. આ બંને ભાગમાં ALLOTMENT વખતે સૌથી પહેલા દરેક APPLICANT ને ૨ લાખ જેટલું ALLOTMENT ફરજિયાત આપવાનું છે અને જો પછી શેરો વધે તો જ PROPORTIONATE ALLOTMENT મળે.
૪. એટલે આપણે ક્યાં તો બે લાખ થી સવા બે લાખ ( લોટ મુજબ જે રકમ થતી હોય ) અથવા ૧૦ લાખ થી ૧૦.૨૫ લાખ ( લોટ મુજબ જે રકમ થતી હોય તે) ની જ APPLICATION કરવી જોઈએ.
૫. બજાર માં થી HNI વર્ગ નીકળી જવા થી અને ANCHOR INVESTORS નું પ્રભુત્વ વધવા થી અને તેમને લાંબા સમય શેર રાખવા પડશે તેવી જોગવાઈ હોવાથી IPO PRICING માં REASONABLENESS આવશે.
૬. ભરણા નો અંદાજ નહિ આવવાના કારણે પ્રીમિયમ માર્કેટ માં થી OPERATOR નું વર્ચસ્વ ઓછું થઈ જશે
૭. આપણા જેવા લોકો માટે પૂરતા અભ્યાસના આધારે IPO માર્કેટ માં થી કમાવવાની નવી તક છે.

The size of the Life Insurance Corporation of India’s (LIC’s) initial public offering (IPO) may be slashed to Rs 21,000 crs, The IPO however may come with a Greenshoe option of Rs 9,000 crore. The total IPO size, after accounting for the greenshoe option, will work out to Rs 30,000 crore and will lead to 3.5%(21K crs) - 5%(30K crs) dilution of the government stake. The Government currently holds 100% stake in LIC.

LIC going to file RHP on Tuesday 26April.

The size of Life Insurance Corporation of India's upcoming initial public offering will be slashed to 3.5 percent from 5 percent, Bloomberg reported on April 23, adding that the LIC board has given its nod to the amended proposal.

According to the report, the government, which wholly owns the insurance sector behemoth, is seeking a $78.5 billion valuation for LIC.
The offer could open in the first week of May..
