Better to book loss and exit.. most of us were Expecting this getting any form of support like Ruchi and go beyond 1000 clearly that's not happening. No support no confidence..
With LIC's 90-10% sharing formula. Losses getting offset in next some years also seems unlikely through dividends.

The losses which were of 200 on day 1 have risen up to 1200. Clearly not interested in seeing another portfolio holding at negetive 40 50%..

Got rid of 3 lots of LIC at around 847. Looks like it will go down further. Do not have much hope now from this.

Now I worry that it is not sandal tree but instead coriander shrub and it will go waste unless harvested on time.

Disclaimer: Don't want to offend anyone, it is my personal thought.

At it's current valuations, it's already overvalued severely. Only 1.75% shares are liquid as of now. With such small quantity in Market, it's still not able to go up regardless of Market condition.

Future OFS/FPO will kill this stock. Who's going to buy and bring price up when it can't even go up in it's current state? Just another Coal India in the making but much more expensive (even for it's own sector while being PSU), so correction will be harsh in this stock in future.

I suggested my fried that i have exited as in short term i don't see recovery and how much deep red it can go is not know as scrip is new. To my surprise he had bought another nn qty before reading my message 😒 I am feeling sorry for him, he want exit without loss in nn months!!!

I HAVE ALREADY TOLD IN MY POST. EXIT LIC AND INVEST IN SECONDARY MARKET IN GOOD QUALITY STOCK. TODAY ALMOST ALL GOOD QUALITY STOCK IS UP MORE THAN 4%. MORE UPSIDE IS VISIBLE. THOSE WHO HAVE INVESTED, MADE MONEY.....

Exit LIC with minimal loss than to stuck here for long time.
Today Nifty bounce can be dead cat bounce so wait to dip further and add ICICI Bank or sbi card or ETF or Bajaj Finance etc as per your risk appetite.

Even 350 point nifty rally is unable to pull up LIC price. I think crane is needed to pull up such heavy weight.

Institution pull or push any share.
Retailers can only absorb selling.
Institution have no interest in LIC as of now.

This is reality of LIC and likewise stocks.
Don't get into trap of valuation discount because PSU are meant to trade in deep discount. No valuation matrix should be seen in singularity.
There are plenty high quality Stocks available in market at better value.

I earlier also told you in my post that avoid issue because it is costly and no listing gain. Today it is acid test for Lic as market is going to down more than 2%. We have to see is lic price sustain today ? I don't think show. Please share your review. According to me fare value of lic price is 450 to 550.

Please share your valuation methodology not a single line statement. This methodology should also fit 3 other listed life insurance companies

Rumour method of valuation.

Lic will go to sub 500 level. Don't buy . It is the costliest issue 200 PE IN THE INDIAN ipo HISTORY. ITS ACTUAL VALUE CAN NOT BE MORE THAN eps Rs 5 x 30 PE = RS 150

@Raj Pandey ji... Kyo Money Control article se copy paste karte ho? These are motivated articles... to influence the reluctant retailers to sell. Don't fall in their trap

While market is great and final word to decide price. The fact remains that Embeded value (EV) for insurance companies is a global concept. Even ICICI pru ipo (first insurance ipo) was sold on this basis and so are HDFC LIFE and SBI LIFE issues too
While you may disappointed at turn of events but facts dont change to suit situations

I am thinking of accumulating some LIC at 830 level. @ Noorul@ Avenue and IPO Guru's please share your view. I can hold it for a year or more for a gain of 25%.
