SEBI changed IPO rule subscription rule because of malpractices in LIC IPO. It was trigger point for change in rule .

My expectation it will reach even close to 100 before closure of IPO (once HNI and QIB subs reaches to the level that no one anticipates).

LIC employees are on strike today from 11.30 to 13.30 to mark their protest against LIC ipo. Upto 11.30 employee portion was 23% now at 12 30 it is 52%.
What should we call it ?

Thanks for your kind note. Myself also feeling todays strike is useless. Till last week, all the strikes made on some hope (even though its not at all going to happen). But today, after hitting the market, nothing to do. And the Union's decided not to apply in this IPO. That also useless. Instead of this, they might fight with government to get more percentage shares for employees. As well as, more discounts (Just 50,000 invested policy holder is going to get Rs. 60 discount, while 30-40 years associated employees going to get just Rs. 45 - like a normal Retail subscriber. Can't understand this). Also they missed in another aspect. Why they allowed 20% to foreign investors. In India, do we really not having investors for such kind of IPO? It's all just my view. Somebody can accept, some others may not.

Just i expressed my words, because, there also people are working. During lock-down government announced them as essential service. Hence they used to goto office during lock-down also. During that lock-down period also they settled the claims without any delay.

Just i am explaining all this because, some unknown part also there. Anyway thanks again for your response and kindness.

Can one apply one lot in Retail and one lot in Policyholder quota from same PAN ?

Sorry you can not apply i policyholder quota, just go for retail quota. Jyada nahin 1 lot mein Rs 225 adhik lagenge aur kuchch nahi

here registrar is kfintech who generally accepts third party applications from past experiences.....rest they only know what will happen this time....
so if there is no other option then use third party applications also.....

On checking the investor category, all categories show min bid price as 904.

My first question is what option to choose for policy holder IND category or POL category?

My second question if choose pol option why is the min bid price as 904 & not 889?

IPO of LIC is demanding a subscription at P/E 201.
Its NAV is diluted to only Rs. 12 - 13 before the IPO.
Seller of 3.5% wants Rs. 889 to 949 for that share.
After the IPO, the stock exchange may value the shares of LIC in the PSU sector.
Earlier IPO of Insurance companies (HDFC Life, SBI Life etc.) had not valued themselves on Embedded value.

Dear admin and all fellow members. This msg has nothing to do with ipo. I am here just want to thank admin for creating such a lovely platform and thanks to all the respected members who contribute here with there immense knowledge and experience.. I found this forum a tremendous platform where folks from all around the country, north to south, east to west, irrespective of there cultures and languages comes at one single place and helping each other to earn wealth. Even some folks from other side of the world like @mravi from Qatar n few more contributing here.

I heartly wish that the beauty of this forum will remain intact. I believe this platform will set a example that what we can achieve if we live in unity. I pray to God not even a shadow of communal or any kind of hatred hve on it.

Talking about the yesterday incident i want to clarify I dont have problem with chalak. I request admin to unblock him.. Blocking him on hated speech will only add one more brick in this hatred environment.

I m taking this decison to move one step forward in way of peace and harmony. From yesterday I was already very much disturbed because of communal violence in my city.. that's all around in media and news. Already facing problem of net and many issue. Somehow manage to open d forum late night and his msg shattered me from inside.

So much respect for you noorul.just let me add point may be not suitable to you but this is on my heart and I was hesitate since not sure it was appropriate .first of all if you see chalak lamdi message yesterday he was not knew you are Muslim like many .Second the message was in a bad taste but his intention was not ill,we do such message with our close Muslim friends.May be he had many ugly statement with you but not about religion i guess .He has came thrice to explain that also but few people target him . Kotak Securities is playing weird again.
In Kotak securities, when you select Policyholders, & apply 210 shares (any number in multiple of 15 can be applied - while in HDFC securities when select Policyholder, it allow minimum 15 & maximum 210, & amount is correctly displayed as Rs. 889 per share, as policyholder quota), amount select as Rs. 889, net amount will be shown as Rs. 174090, if enter share number 225, it shows net amount Rs. 186525.

Any explanation?

When you select policyholder option, &
you enter no. of shares & price, it simply deduct 60rs from whatever price you have entered & multiply it with no. of shares & give result.

Actually I was trying whether I can apply Policyholder HNI category.
HDFC sec states max. shares can be applied is 210, i.e. policyholder discount is available to policyholder application below 2 lakhs (which is actual Policyholder Retail category).
Kotak sec allows application of any no. of shares 15 to 15000.

So, basically
Can we apply policyholder HNI (more than 2 or 10 lakhs amount?
If yes, can we apply General HNI & Policyholder HNI simultaneously?

should i apply in retail quota or hni quoata to increase chances of allotment.i think hni will be oversubscribed more than retail also no discount to hni. but will get only one lot in retail quota kindly guide.(already applied in policy holder quota)

If you have money and if you need guaranteed allotment, apply in HNI based on subscription on 9th May at 2:50PM.
In retail, looks subscription will be 2X, where everyone will get 1 lot based on lottery.

So, please take your decision based on your funds.

As far as my point of view, I will complete avoid this issue though it is largest insurance company. The reason behind this is govt companies issues has never been given listing gain. You can see the example like NHPC, SJVN, RAILTEL, NTPC ETC.... we are blocked our fund.
And this issue is too costly, and overpriced. So I will avoid this and apply in secondary market in some good quality stock.
