Looking at today's subscription figures, LIC will not disappoint the investors and one can take calculated risk.

Early few hours or days listing panic selling not ruled out as usuals operators too found unable to manipulate huge size ipo and may remain sideline few weeks,month,years,D.....

This question may feel stupid to some, so sorry for that.
I want to understand how proportional allotment works in PH quota.
I understand the proportional allotment in the old HNI rules which lokesh ji had given a great explanation of.
But does the PH quota allotment work in same way?

Or does it work life if the subscription is 5x and I apply 1 lot then I'll get 1/5 that is 3 shares?

what is the latest grey market?????

There is no rush to apply by looking at the market conditions. Will be bought later at a discount.😊

One need to take calculated risk in current market condition for LIC ipo.. retails/PHs need to be watchful if they are applying in FF.. One can wait till last day to decide..

Note- I am yet to decide..

Applied 3 applications(1 lot each) in retail...Skipping PH due to fund issue as need minimum10lots for PH for firm allotment..

QIB: most probably 10X plus

My assumption of 10X in QIB is based on the more than three times oversubscription in Anchor book where allotment was only given only to the long term investors funds. Under NPS fund category, only PSU NPS pension fund were given allotment. in anchor book 60% of QIB portion was allotted through anchor book and only 40% of QIB available now.

Bidder most probably domestic mutual fund industries, insurance industries. All 6 Pvt NPS pension fund will hopefully apply in QIB portion.

HNI, Retail, Policy holders and employees all oversubscribed today, still two days left for bidding in this IPO.

Retail application wise crossed 50 lakhs and hopefully by 9th Evening 7 PM this figure may cross 70 lakhs.

Can anyone please update latest GMP of LIC and Kostak Rate ?

1-forced to bail out PSU IPOs
2-forced to buy IDBI, where LIC had no experience in banking sector
3-PMVVY where LIC has to pay 8.5% annual interest
4-PMJJBY @330 rs p.a. only for 2 L insurance

It's against policies sold by LIC earlier (participating)
Till now LIC giving 95% profits to policy holders and only 5%to share holders (government)
Now after this FY They will give 90% to policy holders and only 10% to share holders (government+public)

@Milton does ICICI allow Minor PAN Card in ASBA? Please update as I have to open account at earliest. Thanks.

aRYANrAJ - yes they do. as Micky said SBI is also good but they have restrictions about minor account limits. And also they take long time and show lot nakrahs to open the account. Icici only askes Rs/ 2500 min. bal for the account, so go for it. they open super quick too.

@AnupAG Can you apply via netbanking using Minor's PAN card in Indusind? I opened account in Union but PAN card is pf guardian. :(

Dear experts, say if the PH quota is subscribed 6 times, what will be rejection percentage in PH quota? how many lots in PH quota should i apply if i want only 1 lot allotment and not more?

how come LIC has embedded value of 5.4 Lakh cr on premium collection of 4 lakh crore( ratio is approx 1.35), when other private players has the ratio of around .7)

Sbi = 30/50 (.6)
hdfc = 29/38(.8)
icici = 30/36(.85)

private players have better margins and lower expense ratios so they should command higher embbeded value/ premium collected ratio yhan LIC

I think SBI Life is better than LIC.

@Raj: aapke munh mein ghee shakkar. But seriously, there is no comparison between IRCTC and LIC. IRCTC has the monopoly in its area. Further, IRCTC's IPO pricing was set too low (good for us) but in case of LIC, we can not say the same.

No comparison between IRCTC and LIC. Most of the Govt. Companies have cheated the investors. First come with an IPO, thereafter FPO with lower price than IPO, again buyback at lower price, again FPO at higher price than FPO and so on. Many suffering, COAL INDIA, EIL. NMDC, ONGC and many more. Last FPO of ONGC at Rs 165/. Now at Rs 166/, due to Crude crisis. Otherwise would have been at Rs 125/ in such circumstances. It is difficult to predict about LIC. Likely to be an FPO after one year or so and might be at lower price than this. Govt. need money though disinvestment. The dilution has already been reduced to 3.5% in present circumstances. It is better to avoid Govt. offers for long term. Not to remember IRCTC or Power Grid and some more. Exceptions are always there. Risk appetite and loss bearing capacity.

It depends on your bank/broker. For example, PNB ASBA's timeline is 3 pm. There are news that timeline has been extended for this IPO but better to check with your bank.
