It has no relation with listings of other companies,rainbow listed at discount as of some other reasons.Lic has strong brand value and offered at very attractive price,it may or may not list discount but a gem stock for future.

I know that I am already with LIC just sharing market sentiments 😂

how application received for policy holder category. i have applied 4 lots. whether i will get in proportionate or luck draw?

For policyholders it is proportionate basis. So if we consider 0.12 time technical rejection out of 6.12 times subscription in this category then

Policyholders who applied between 6 to 11 lots will get FIRM allotment of atleast 1 lot and

Policyholders who applied between 12 to 14 lots will get FIRM allotment of atleast 2 lots.

Rainbow children medicare was subscribed approx 18 times but today it listed at 5.90% down.

So there is no guarantee for LIC ipo gain as it is only subscribed approx 3 times.

What exactly determines listing price? Who determines that?

@Amit ji, even Rs 10 GMP is Rs. 55 gain for retail investors and Rs 70 gain for policy holders.

Oh god so much bragging about LIC like value of property of LIC etc but the reality is it is a PSU and this is why valuation was brought down from 15 to 6 lakh crores.
On most crucial fronts it lags from private players like reducing market share, Margin of New business.
LIC is pure inefficient and sarkari company and institutions already shown no interest in subscription data.
For your knowledge let me tell you Anchor book was also filled on mercy of SBI because at last moment one investor couldn't bring 450 crores and SBI MF came into rescue because it's bitter truth that all face saving of government has to be done by large PSU.

Applied 1 lot in retail from 5 diff demats. 1 lot mil jaye bas 🙏

5 different PAN hai to 5 me mil jayega.
Retail me jiska bhi valid application hai un sabko allotment milne wala hain..

Was it mandatory to use UPI where total amount is less than 5 lakhs.
I filled one lot in retail category using zerodha+UPI, and 12 lots in PH category using SBI ASBA.
On checking BSE for SBI ASBA application, it is showing remark "Payer UPI is incorrect"
...
Will my bid will get cancelled due to this reason?
Anyone also seeing same message?

As told yesterday, all will get allotment minimum 1 lot in retail as it is under-subscribed in retail category

Nothing to worry. BSE System doesn’t show Retail ASBA applicants.
I only use ASBA, got allotment in Campus, though BSE site showed- Application not submitted!!!

Lic 100% listing in positive because government's further disinvestment program in many companies.Lic is a future example for disinvestment programs. Sebi may change rules again for lic fpo/ofs ....???..but no chance at 1100 and 850 too.....

All ofs target already coming before ofs as no demand from lic itself...

Campus Activewear IPO had a 20% rejection in retail (difference between bidding data and number of valid applications in Basis of Allotment).

Rainbow Children's Medicare IPO had 44% rejection. The bidding system shows 13,951,332 retail applications but the basis of allotment says 7,845,660.

Considering this trend it seems LIC IPO Retail quota (oversubscribed 1.99x) may also have a good number of applications rejected.

It seems...

All valid retail applicants to get an allotment of at least 1 lot.

Policyholders who bid 14 lots get 3 lots or more shares.

Is this "rejection" alone?
My guess is, it should be including UPI mandate not accepted cases as well.
What else can explain such a massive increase in the difference?

Negative comments on LIC forum remind of similar comments on Ruchi Soya where large number of investors were deprived of big profit on assured allotment. Many people cancelled their bids there, which led to higher allocation and more profit to those applied. Is same thing going to happen here?

Clearly LIC is too expensive

Before IPO, LIC was giving 95% of its profit to policy holder and 5% to shareholders. Now it will give 90% profit to policy holders and 10% to shareholders. So now even if its income stays same, EPS will be 9.4 (4.7*2) and P/E will be 100.95 ( 201.9÷2). Now compare LIC with other companies !!
