If the IPO opening would be red or green should not be the debate for a long term investor. Looking at the untapped market and monopoly, I believe it should go like IRCTC . 10 rupees FV so high chance of splits and bonus in future as well. Govt companies are usually a generous dividend payers too (look at power grid for example) so it will be a source of passive income.
The same pattern was followed in IRCTC. The bear grip is temporary but the decade belongs to India so I see a great potential of wealth creation in this. Worth to own this business (along with HDFC LIFE)

Everyone is afraid of Debit message.

Retail application wise it's 1.59 hai...means 159 mein 100 ko milega....it's not firm allotment unfortunately

Retail application wise below 1x so every Retail application is getting at least 1 lot.

Total application 7337575, this number includes application of policy holder also.
After rejection of application count, every valid retail application will get confirmed allotment.

How can you say that retail applications number included policy holders applications also. I think it's not correct conclusion.

Many retailers might have canceled, many will not accept mandate.. actual subscription for retail may be less..

If it retains the recent low of 55% ( in Zomato ), ratio will be 10:11

As per one source there will be 100% allotment in retail since around 46 lakhs application were reserved for them and around 70-72 lakhs appllications were bidded combined ph&retail,in retail there were around 42 lakh application bidded so 100% allotment.

Yes; you may be right. I have also seen it. But pol holder has 10 % , employee 0.7 % of the total share. So others % is probably on 89.3%/90% unlike other ipos.
In this case no of rejection will be more for non compliant upi s. So the matter is dicey. I have assumed this on the basis of passed experience to the average/
extrimity.
