Discount is reducing as listing date is approaching. That shows interest of buyers. Latest quoted -10/12. It will also probably get nullified by tomorrow before listing. Undoubtedly positive listing. Lot much at stake for Govt. LIC has saved so many issues in the past. It doesn't make sense to assume that it will not rescue it's own. Govt will have to bring FPOs. So, in all probablity, it will list above 1000/- and gradually move up to 1200/- within a year, before another FPO.

The thought process is buyable. This one has to be saved by agencies.

Probably discount is because of many participants get it at discount (and we know the discount items are emotionally valued less). Also the lower subscription than bumper IPOs, market pessimism bringing them to loose hand. <- All sort of possibilities in my view, could be many more.

However they have to understand the subscription with respect to size of IPO. Beside there is affection of employer and retailers with LIC (for which they take its policies) and many may not sell it due to same reason and considering it long growth story.

Lets wait and watch the listing.

LIC looks attractive having potential to go multibegger...
Current valuation may b 40 lakh crore which is very high in comparison of issue price....

Has anyone got allotment for IPO issue closed on FRIDAY and accepting UPI mandate on MONDAY till 11.59am ?

No doubt, You can do it. When I am not on firm decision instead of ASBA, always follow it.

Some thought came to my mind.
An issuer success is subscribing its issue fully and setting the higher price . In this case issuer achieved it , and issue is a success.

There was some news around price band , which states that issuer has set very low price. This is something issuer want to avoid and may want to prove that, it sold at right price. So I think Issuer won't try to lift price beyond a certain level.

On the other hand issuer may want to have FPO in future . So I think Issuer won't want list its issue in much discount.

When I consider all this. Issuer may want to list its issue near IPO price and I am expecting same, list around IPO price.

Note: I don't want and not interested in discussing political aspect. I am an investor to make some profit , nothing beyond that.

Though I have not applied for the IPO, Hope its gets a good listing. A lot of small retail investors have applied for the IPO. Hope they have a good experience tomorrow.
