Par last babaji ka thullu dikha diya n unke pass 21000 crore aa gaye.
Mere to 3500 to 4000 loss se mer ko koe jyada fark nahi pada
But aese bahut se retailer the jo isme fas gaye.

Kala Kauva. Asli nafa to GIC RE me hua hai. 450 (After Bonus Price) pe liya tha. Aaj 5 saal baad 115 chal raha hai. Suna hai kuch kavve bada lamba jeete hai. Kya aapko lagta hai ke 5000 saal baad meri cost ke aas paas GIC aa jayega ? Government to tab bhi shayad yahi hogi par investor nahi honge kahi.

Exited my 2 lots with approx loss of Rs 800. As a very tiny retailer I don't want more loss.
Having ABSL AMC , IRFC , And RAINBOW are still in my portfolio. God knows what will happen with this.

Talking of long term holding after discount listing is no excuse for mistake done.
I was about to hit ‘go’ for 2 applications in shni but literally forced myself out of it after looking at pathetic qib response.

As per my little and sometimes incomplete knowledge qib are responsible for price moving of a stock upward or downward.
For me this ipo was doomed since final figure of subscriptions was out on last day.

We apply ipo for instant gains…not long term holdings.
Anyone who says he is applying ipo for long term gains is fooling himself.

In my view, Govt should keep the value of this IPO by not keep it fall a lot.

It is not governments are to give you listing gain

LIC की ये हालत तो तब है जबकि sensex 900 point ऊपर है. अगर sensex 900 point नीचे होता तो LIC शायद 800 पर आ जाता I

LIC holds most of the Nifty 50 stocks
Nifty up +1.8% and Lic -5% 😂
I think P/EV down to 1 now

It belongs to LIC policyholder not LIC🤪

Each one of the brokerage house who reviewed this IPO, gave it a 'apply' rating (except Capital Market who added 'May'). Seems they also wanted to get the IPO successfully subscribed. 🤔

Sab kuch setting thi, jo samaj gaya voh khil gaya aur jo na samj as voh Fas gaya.

My view on LIC listing,
Everything in the world works on the basis of the Demand-Supply concept. As this was the biggest IPO, supply was more than enough and demand was ok-ok because of this blood bath in Secondary market, FII selling and this Russia-Ukraine war.
As supply was more, demand was less, this had to happen.

Next is, what you as retail (and policyholder) investor can do?
Hold this, it might give you surprising returns in the future.

India me sab kuch bharose/trust par chalta he and LIC is a synonym for Trust in the insurance sector in India, nobody can change this in atleast for a decade for sure.

CSR (claim settlement ratio) is still the highest in the industry for LIC that gives confidence for new potential policy taker to consider LIC as their first option.

Disclosure: Holding 264 shares from 3 PH and 8 Retail accounts in total and having (total in family) 3 Health Insurance + 1 Term Life Insurance from LIC so views can be biased.

After negative listing of LIC IPO, people got to know LIC premium leta hai deta nhi hai....😆😂🤣

Just see and remember the listing of one more big PSU. PSUs never see the comfort of small investors. The case of IRCTC is totally different. Even after the listing there was a great dispute for pricing the issue at such a low price. When PSUs are not thinking of investors, why non PSU sector will think about the investors. Nothing left for investors even after a discount of 5%. Long term, what is the definition of long term. How many years. Need not want to name long term investment in PSUs. I have discussed about this in my last poosts also. In CNBC in the morning, there was discussion on PSUs for last 10 to 12 years. Out of about 25 IPOs 12 are in negative. Ipos like IRCTC,NBCC and some have given very good returns. I had also applied in this IPO but not expected below 900. We are not the operators and can't operate. People have to think twice for PSU Ipos and Fpos. Rest, "SAMAY SE PAHLE AUR SAMAY SE JYADA KUCHH NAHI MILATA."

Adani Wiilmar too did not list decently buy its promoter managed (manipulated ) that scrip thereafter.
Promoters of Adani Wilmar were earlier accused to rig their stocks prices using a dummy FII entity.
But, due to political favorability SEBI did not have the wherewithal to investigate that issue.
Besides, LIC issue was too large and more shares in the future were expected to come as FPO. This too went against.
Though, LIC has lot of real estate and bluechip portfolio but that did not favored the scrip.

Where are people who said that government sold LIC at a 'throwaway price'?

904 ayega ki nahi wo bhi question ho gaya.

Today Market is in Green and Nifty is + 200 , even though the LIC is still trading at higher discounted price than given to the public. In this forum few people have adviced to remain away from this ipo as it was offered at higher valued. We are here for gained not for loosing our hard earned money and some one has also written that it was offered at 201 pe which is the highest in India. Let's hope it will recover soon.
