For those who are very Bullish on LIC and accumulating dip or averaging for long term investment.
Kindly take note that PSU are for public service and not for wealth creation (IRCTC is exception because of protected monopoly).
Think 100 times before investing in PSU for long term and wealth creation.

[ Property, Assets, Monopoly, Agents, Business, Market Share% Land Bank, Buildings,Reserves, Income, Book Value,Ect Ect, Ect ] सब कुछ खंगाल ने के बाद [ Stock market Experts ] अंग्रेजी डाक्टर :- आयुर्वेद के नाड़ी वैद्यों , तांत्रिकों को कहने लगे तुम लोग मुर्ख हो! [ LIC Share ] इस को कोई बिमारी नहीं है चंगा है 1000 [ Listing Rs 1000 + ] वर्ष तक दौडेगा!

If paradeep shows some demand and sentiment is favorable then may apply or else after listing purchase karne ka option toh hamesha se open hai. FIIs are not showing up due to their whims and recent developments so better not count on them only see if there is enough dii/local demand visible.

LIC IPO proves that winner are LIC not retailer or policyholder.

Congratulations to govt for earning good profit.

I learnt my lesson of not investing in disinvestment plans n government ipo’s in 2009-10 through coal India ipo.
From past 12 years tracking the psu (never ever outperformed the market).
When ever I tried posting msgs against PSU’s ipos like for Hal, Cochin shipyard, GIC etc.. The reply comments project me like anti national, not patriotic etc
I show my patriotism by paying my taxes on time, respecting constitution, respecting Indian flag, national anthem etc.
Scared to share my opinion against psu as people project me as anti-national

The government is making All-out efforts to make smooth listing of LIC. Nirmala Ji will ring the bell tomorrow at NSE, I Hope She won't disappoint retail folks. From my childhood till now I am a big fan of LIC. (Still, LIC Building on mount road is the tallest and Iconic symbol for Chennai). I am sensing a good listing. Let see. All the very best to all of you as well.

LIC 65 year old company sabko ullu bana dia ab kuch bhi iijat nhi bachi company ki ab to esa lagta ki campus shoes wale ache profit deke gye or ye chor bazar wali company nikli

So many years of investing has proved one thing that you have to very flexible and agile in markets. Most of us were sure LIC will list at discount but also had a glimmer of hope to see higher that IPO price. It did not happen. So I exited on Stop Loss, which is weapon to save yourselves from excessive losses or burden of holding loss making portfolio. This small loss can so easily be off-set by investing in some of my long term favorites stocks like Adani Power and Easy Trip which give you 5% on daily basis until they reach resistance levels, which get upgraded with time.

I think LIC will never cross 949.

Lucky that I applied only under Policy Holder and Retail category. Being Govt. company is the biggest negative for this stock.

I Didnt apply for LIC ipo because
1. Economic stagflation 2. down trending markets
3. Govt desperate for funds and massive borrowing program
4. RBI desperate to keep interest rates low
5. Too much supply post listing .. this wont stay in green
6. Very poor record of Modi govt
GIC NIACL down 70 % + in long term like sonia govt ipos shpping corp etc
7. My 15+yrs experience says only 1 of 10 psu govt ipos make investors money ..Modi or MMSSonia govt ,sare gorment ... hai, all need money for funding their swiss banks or for vote bank politics , nrega farmer subsidy etc they dont care if investors loose ..
Govt shamelessly steals from savers in inflation via excessive money printing ,, the vadapav which was Rs 4 went to 10 thanks to sonia govt and to 15 in modi govt

As expected listed at a discount ,, not expecting such a large discount that even lic policyholders shares are at loss or discount ..
