Totally avoided due previous experience in GIC & new india assurance. One can not gain in govt companies

Issue was about to be priced between 440-480

It is general public here who valued issue at 2100-2200 and then 1670 then 949

This all was planned by members here

Govt extremely happy to take exit at 949 with this bumper figure of 21000 crore. It is only public who takes loss through mutual fund and direct investment into equity

Big players have no loss

Every seller wants to maximize its profit, chahe wo koi bhi ho. no one shows mercy in business. But let's pray that those who have put faith in LIC, they get benefitted. At least it should trade above its issue price after all big talks.

Is this profit booking or distress selling in losses. Govt. tried to collect as much as it can from policy holders, employees and retail investors giving them some discount, because it was Cristal clear that FIIs didn't showed any interest in the IPO. 70% of anchor portion was subscribed by local mutual funds and institutions. Again major QIP portion was also taken by local mutual funds and institutions.

@Lokesh Sir,, Aap bhi Sir, kaise sawal puchte hain. as i had already said that 'i MAY apply',, so at last minute i did not applied. I was praying that i would be wrong and those who put faith in lic would be rewarded and may be in future (not clear when), i only did not apply by seeing callous nature of sarkar when it tinkered repo rates after noticing that LIC ipo will sail through. That was my breaking point. So i backed out.. Still i feel that pricing was very competitive and not mouth watering. It was like you quote the price of an article upto 4 times and upon objection by purchaser you decides to make it half, still you are in huge profit but purchaser sees it like his victory. Had it wanted to sell to a big name, would have been sold it a real throwaway price like we saw in public sector Central Electronics (CEL)

sold all policyholder shares and 2 retail application shares at 915....pending 2 retail application shares now

@have faith: Regarding rainbow, ya its very disheartening to see that, that's why please follow stoploss always or sell partial in some loss/profit after ipo....i have sold around 75% in first 2 days and remaining i was trying to sell daily morning with around 5% up orders but couldn't sell....it broke listing day low also today and going down even with good markets in last 2 days.....seems no new buying interest....considering FY22 PE, valuations were not expensive and it should be performing well in long term if financials sustains/grow, but really no idea why its still going down so much in short term and when it will recover. I will try to sell my remaining shares on any bounce.

I was busy in morning so could not see listing. but again a flopshow, at least listing wise...
I sold 63 shares @ 902, and put a stop loss @ 896 for another 63 shares.
will hold 2 retail 15 shares allotments for some time.

Stop loss hit and sold another 63 shares @ 896.

I also missed listing moments. when i came it was 904.
It hit my stoploss of 895 just now. Sold all PH shares.

Avenue. Stop loss triggered ? 879 now.

I exited without any injuries.
Luckily didn't apply in HNI.

@avenue: 2 retail applications still pending, remaining all [48+15+15] sold in morning....i had kept sell order at 905 for remaining two applications...lets see if it comes, else will try to sell tomorrow morning above 900....
@have faith: i am buying mostly blue chip large cap companies only from last some days in small quantities like titan, reliance, maruti, asian paints, bajaj finance, axis, icic, sbi, hdfc, hdfc bank, infy, and other than that, i have added few shares in AWL, aarti industries, latent view, tatva chintan, kims, irctc, clean science, voltas, jubiliant foodworks, d mart etc.

And everyone please invest/apply in ipos as per your own risk/capacity only, specially in average companies with average financials/subscriptions/gmp etc. Don't go on other comments in forum and don't get carried away to apply in hni category since minimum allotment is 14 lots there if allotted so risk/reward is bigger. Even after rainbow, people are betting big with so many multiple hni applications in venus pipes too , everyone has different risk capacity anyways and slowly people will understand to apply carefully after some ipos. Even campus is not able to sustain from higher levels and going down daily along with rainbow even in good markets. So holding large no. of lots with us without stoploss can be too risky, so always apply carefully and book complete or partial profit/loss soon on listing or in some days or keep some stoplosses.

My holding average is 2175.
Others Hindalco, TTML, ASAL, Seacoast shipping (all are down by approx. 20%)
