Had applied for 1000 shares9( Rs.59000/-) - 107 shares allotted and credited in ICICIDIRECT-linked demat account but ASBA-funds NOT YET RELEASED.

recived sms from CDSL .......applied400 share get 100....listing above 58rs .....otherwise i hold bcoz ....yaar tension kyu leta hai 5200rs ka he to maal mila hai...lol

Shares appear to have been credited in depository, but allotment status is not available anywhere.Can somebody explain.

Whether the company lists at Premium or discount, the quantum will be very marginal.

The group is shareholder friendly, and they neither have nor will have any attitude of looting the Shareholder. This is evident from the fixation Price at 52, though there was a huge demand at 59 and that offer was at 56 to Anchor investors and pre-issue at 55.

Even if there is a notional loss in the listing, the chances of getting reasonable returns(more than what bank FD offers) are much more at latter of point of time.

Once the stock starts performing, it will definitely command higher P/E and it would beyond reach for the investors at average market valuations.

Hence, i am of the opinion that even the stock lists at discount, there is no need to book loss, and it can be held for some time for reasonable return over period of time.

as per tax rules i cannot buy offline at discount thanks for the offer
i will have to buy from the market and pay transaction tax stt etc
to claim capital gains if arise laster on
since you are sure of the discount in the date of opening i will buy from the market

I FELL SORRY FOR NOT APPLING IN L&T FINANCE I HAVE TAKEN AN WRONG ADVICE OF EXPERT FELLOW MEMBER, PREMIUM IS RS 2 AND THE STOCK IS GOING TO DO WELL AS MOST OF THE OPERATORS ARE NOT HOLDING THE STOCK AND PULIC IS NOT SELLING IT TO THE GREY MARKET OPERATORS I COULD EASILY KEEP 353 SHARES FOR LONG TERM INVESTMENT
WHEN THE MARKETS ARE DOWN THIS IS PERHAPS THE BEST INVESTMENT THAN BUYING OTHER STOCKS WHERE DIRECTORS ARE NOT GOOD

Why are you worrying about not applying for L&T Finance?I will do you a favor if you want I will give you 353 shares if you want from some of my friends who have applied at 25 paisa discount ,not even at par a very special 25 paisa discount since you took a decision based on me .You can sell it at your 2 Rs premium after listing or hold Long term ,which I think is a better decision.
Think hard & tell me I am serious about it.it is a real deal for you.Those who are serious & lamenting that they have missed the bus this offer is valid for them also.
