Hello Guys, How to calculate the no of lots will be allocated to no of applicants, I have observed in social media some one updated it after reviewing the Subscribers on the last day.
@Sandeep Konchada Hello, it is simple. In case of oversubscription, it is by draw of lots (lottery) that allotment is done. Rule is to allocate shares worth about Rs 15 K to retail. (1 lot) Rs 2 L to sHNI (14 lots) Rs 2 L to bHNI (14 lots)
Thanks for the comment but still my question was not clarified, Might be my question is not in a conveyed way. Yes Agree if it is oversubscribed then it will go with the lottery basis.
Let me explain my question again with an example: If an IPO was over subscribed 400x and how many applicants will they pick in Retail category with 50x range.
@Sandeep Konchada Okay, so your question was about number of applicants who will get allotment and not about the lots. This information is given in IPO page in CG.com itself as it is pre decided based on quota for each segment.
@Sandeep Konchada Hope, you have got the clarity now. For every IPO, quota for each segment is furnished as per total number of shares. Hence, number of maximum applicants that will be selected through lottery is also known. It was a very basic norm in bidding process. Not sure, what made you ask this question.
