BROTHER CAN YOU EXPLAIN THIS IN DETAIL ABOUT THE ALLOTMENTS IN SME THROUGH THIS

This is how it works : the nos. Of lots x no of applicants / total subscription ( say 300x) should be more than 0.5 for one category ( say 18 lots ) of applicants to qualify for lottery .

Revised to 6 lots in one account and two lots in the other account.

Did you ever get allotment in sme?

Pentagon Rubber during first week of July 2023 which fetched me good profit of more than Rs. 100000/- is the last allotted SME IPO. Earlier, very rarely now and then. Thank you .

​@IPO APPLIER Mainly because my money is in various linked FDs in different accounts so moving money between accounts is not possible. And my 3 accounts have some imbalance in the total funds, so have to apply unequal lots whenever I go FF in one listing.

Also in the end I applied 50/40/25. Was getting confused between the 2 and finally went with 50 lots, and put the rest into a small HNI lot with Kay Cee

I will also apply 40 lot of 2 HNI application.

​@rohiitian which good banks offer the linked FD facility that allows the use of the amount for IPO applications? Also, how does it work in case of any allotment which requires breaking of FD to deduct the amount? I would appreciate your guidance in this matter.

​@Value.Investor I use ICICI - they have an FD called Money Multiplier. Only the alloted amount will get broken from the FD, rest will remain intact. So a small amount can keep rotating while bulk remains in FD. I think Kotak and IDFC also allow something similar

​@Value.InvestorI also use ICICI linked FD (Money Multiplier) for IPO application, it works very well.

Just before allotment/debit day, i transfer funds from other bank Ac to ICICI savings Ac, so if there is allotment then funds are debitrd from ICICI savings Ac and FDs remain intact, simple.

And also, Yes and Kotak bank also allow this, but i do not know much about them as i do not use them..

Add RBL to linked FD list. Though only problem is you need to visit bank to convert your FD into a linked one. On positive side, offers best interest rates.

Apply 7 lots from each account.

You are absolutely right but how to convince SEBI?? Low GMP low subscription and High chances of allotment; no one wants because apart from high chances of allotment there is also risk of low GMP vanishing by the time of listing so everyone wants play safe and go with High subscription High GMP. If you get you mint otherwise replay the game. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sir, my request to you is stop being part of this mad rush, and stop Applying in the IPOs.
No big shark leaving retailers in lurch. HNI and retail quota is different.

@ Shubhman Gill ...I never mentioned that big shark should be stopped...I said let there be fair play the way SEBI did for main board IPOs . It's open secret now that retailers have also moved into HNI category and they have every right too. Yes we all are there to make money but greed can lead to disaster.

Seniors in the group who have seen mad rush followed by Euphoria and then Crash ....mostly retailers are caught in between as smart investors vanish with profits . I know senior folks @PKRAJ @diwan kapoor @KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA @B.M.SURANA  Wil agree with me and they have seen many such ups and downs during their rich experience .
If eye brows are not raised over 1000 times subscription then I think we are playing pigeon with closed eye and don't want to see danger ahead .

​@Rakcyt Good morning. During my college days, in studies I always remember one chapter **VICIOUS CIRCLE OF POVERTY**.
Members may not like to read this line again and again. But it was true and today it is true. Rich man goes richer and poor goes poorer. In my 41 years of investing in Share Market, market has come up from bottom to top. Crossed 72k. It was never expected. Generation gap is there. In our time to be a CA or MBA was a dream. To be a graduate was a good qualification.
As far as CG Forum is concerned, more and more members are with high risk appetite. With good financial. Apply in crores. They want to increase quota of bHNI and sHNI. Nobody is bothering about Retailers. Nobody can stop anyone. Now the time is for very short term gains. We have made our lives and nothing to lose. My first Air journey was at the age of 35 that also at the cost of others.
In our time to get a loan of 5k was very difficult. Now offers are there for lakhs. But everything on credit. For young generation sky is the limit.
Even if we share our experiences, they will not like. Even our own children. We were so happy with whatever we had and today also whatever we get.
In big cities people used to live in chals. Even many big crorepatis of today lived in same condition.
Nobody is going to help in present conditions. Now time is to live without expectations for we people. There is one way rule by GOD.

No doubt it's a mad rush nowadays in ipo market.. Which we have never saw in last so many years.. We have have witness that time when pricing of ipo share's was control by CCI.-(Controller of capital issues).. But during the Liberalisation & globalisation movement post 1990..this control was removed.
You will surprise to know that due to overpricing assumption i did not applied Infosys ipo in 1993..
We have witness..Harshad mehta & Satyam computer scam in India.. & Lehman brothers bank crises in America..all these created very much insecurity in share market..
Further we all have noticed that before Covid there are hardly around 3 crore Demate a/c in India.. Which now have been increased to around 14 crores.. So where those vehicle's will run which got registered with authorities.. Off course on the road.. So is the case of new investors by whom the share market is going crowded day by day...easy money attraction will attract to more investors in future to be a part of share market.. In my openion SEBI will amend 50℅ qib reservation quata in future..
Rest all will run as usual.. & we can not do anything..
So be happy in all situation.. 🎄🎄

SEBI should carefully examine the prevailing conditions of the size and allotment available for the Retail investors in the SME IPOs and do the needful after taking into consideration the merits and demerits. Whether or not we are happy, we have to wait and see for the desired outcome. We are happy for ever because our expectations are not so high. It’s not the same with the present generation. We have to accept the reality and act accordingly. We are not ready n strong enough to compete with their speed. Let’s be watchful n not react for every happening and loose peace of mind.

Thanks frnds ...young and senior folks alike.....very healthy discussion in most parliamentary way 😉 really like the patience of youngsters too.

My views are mere reflection of what SEBI is asking many promotors of SME on sudden spurt on listing as they are answerable ( SMEs mostly raise their hands showing ignorance ) .....hence expressed my concern on forthcoming revision by SEBI only which is envisaged.

​@Rakcyt I read all the messages in this thread and all messages from ipo forum friends are very much needed for amendment by sebi. Of course the only soothing factor is that we know the application status on the second day itself. This has become a boon for quick rolling over funds to other ipos and at the same time it is leading to more number of oversubscription

First of all, there is no SHNI or BHNI in SME IPOs, just HNI.

I would go for 2 retail applications for 2 Ac..

Go for 2 retail application from 2 different account
