But bolotara has given views that it will list negative and remain negative for long term without naming anybody,

​@MuStrFc But our broker (here Zerodha) also gives that thing (expect news) then why is the need? I am not saying that you are not correct but I can't understand the benefit. If you please explain would be appreciated.

​@Harsh Newguru Zerodha only offers Indian Stocks. Suppose one has exposure to variety of asset classes, from bonds to debt instruments to US or Foreign equities etc. That's where services like Google Finance steps in.

You need to give application to HDFC bank for PAN update in your daughter's account

I Called In HDFC and told them the issue.
But they are saying as per their rules for Minor account guardian's PAN will be visible.
Are you using HDFC for any of your minor children?

Yes I am using HDFC minor account and recenlty updated my son PAN in his account by giving offline application to the branch with the copy of his PAN

​@NewInIPO If bank branch not mapping minor pan card you may email to ' support@hdfcbank.com ' to pan card mapping issue at branch, once it update minor pan will be visible there.

1 share strategy works most of the time but it's not guaranteed..

It depends on company, if the buyback size is large then there is fair chance, even then it is not guaranteed..

Even in Tcs (huge size) there were some people whose 1 share was not accepted..

Considering small size of buyback, big difference between current share price and buy back price and also the fact that many people will play this 1 share strategy, chances of acceptance of 1 share is not guaranteed.

Which means all the single shares tendered, were bought by the company.
Maybe the rejection was due to shares not present in Demat on the record date.

In case all the single shares are not accepted then AR will be equal to ER, which was the case in TeamLease Buyback last year.

Yes, my 1 share was also accepted, i was talking about some people who complained that even when they had 1 share well before record date, it was not accepted..

May be there was some other reason for not accepting that 1 share..

One share of tcs was accepted from my all 8 a/c..so one share strategy should work here also.. IMO

AR will always be greater than ER. so, if AR > ER, i feel is not a correct indicator of whether 1 share strategy will work.
ER is minimum shares that'll be accepted, it's calculated by considering retail quota (15% of issue) and assuming all the retailers will apply.
And since, everyone will not apply AR is usually greater.
But I agree that AR will be low for bajaj auto buyback.

In my opinion, chances are high for 1 share strategy to work, given there are 1.87Lakh retailers currently and buyback retail quota is 6Lakh shares

TCS buyback was 1.12% of offer size, while Bajaj Auto is 1.41% of equity shares.

So issue size is not small, but since buyback price is set high, lot of people will come in and AR will reduce.

Its a game of probablities may be accepted, as buy back size is of 4000 cr but still no gurantee. As happened with me at the time of HEG Buy back in 2018. At that time only few accounts were accepted and rest rejected.

"AR will always be greater than equal to ER".

Let me explain you how the process works.
1. Firstly, shares will be accepted as per the ER from all the participants.
2. Small shareholders who have been sent "0 ER" forms, will now be considered and 1 share will be accepted from them (This is where single share players get preference).
3. Now - after step 1,2 if there are any more shares left to be accepted then it will be divided proportionately in the participants from step-1 (This is where the final AR increases and is usually more than ER).

Now - for you to reach step-3 (where AR > ER), All single shares should be accepted.
Hence, I said as AR > ER in TCS - all single shares were accepted.
