@Admin @ Chittorgarh.com @Prachi @ Team Chittorgarh.com Banning newgen consultancy sir was a very harsh decision. I will justify this
There is a decision making process. Let me explain you that. In businesses or in any field, a decision which maximizes the benefits to all stakeholders needs to be taken.
Here the stakeholders are
1.the owners of the website
2.newgen consulatancy sir
3. other common members
The decision to ban him was an extreme and harsh decision. It's a loss for all the
stakeholders
1.owners- people have lost faith and doubt integrity of this website by banning an influential and helpful person
2.newgen- his respect and pride is hit
3. common members- will miss the genuine and helpful views of a person who always guided them.
Ideal course of action and decision which should have been taken is to keep all the stakeholders in mind.
If newgen sir broke any rules, a stricter warning should have been given to not repeat and if he broke the rules again, then a stricter action like this could have been taken.
What you missed is that newgen sir is a influential person in this forum and has a huge fandom. Obviously there is some reason behind the fandom right. It is his genuineness and readiness to help a small investor to understand the nuances of the market.
How a strict warning would have helped all the stakeholders concerned:
1. Owners- Can expect such a thing not to be repeated by newgen sir. Retaining the top calibre people and allowing the site to grow multifold. Moreover, no threat of legal actions given warnings have been issued to members.
2. Newgen sir- Understand that he cannot take forum for granted and should respect the rules of the forum. He would be cautious and would be happy that he was not banned and could serve others as well.
3. Common members- Have the faith that the site respects reputed members and at the same time can go harsh on them if they don't follow rules. It would have given all us a warning to not ask any opinionated questions to him too as it could lead to his banning.
Basically if a reputed and well recognised person in the forum can get warnings from the admin, others would have been more cautious, given their ordinary status.
So basically admins, your decision making process is:
1.Marred with errors
2. Inflexible and unadaptable to new situations
3. Doesn't take into consideration the benefit of all stakeholders
4. Harsh and unnecessarily rude
Doing a stakeholder analysis is the first thing before taking any decision. Each and every decision you take depends upon the situation in hand and you cannot follow a standard procedure each time.
This is not a vouch or support for newgen sir. But an criticism of the decision making process followed which is autocratic, instead of being democratic.
"STANDARD PROCEDURES DON'T WORK. EACH SITUATION REQUIRES A NUANCED UNDERSTANDING OF THE SITUATION IN HAND AND THEN A DECISON SHOULD BE TAKEN"
Hope all members agree with me.
