PLZ UPDATE UR KNOWLEDGE FIRST BEFORE WRITING UR JUNK KNOWLEDGE OF SHAREHOLDER QUOTA IN AN IPO AND ABOUT DISCOUNT. DONT WRITE UR BAKWASS SO THAT OTHER VANILA INVESTOR BECOME AFRAID
THE CORRECT WAY IS-
1) IT SIMILARLY WORKS AS MUTUAL FUND RESERVATION PORTION IN QIB..., HERE IF U WILL APPLY IN SH QUOTA U WILL BE FIRST ALLOTED UNDER THAT QUOTA AND UR REMAING UNALLOTED SHARES WILL BE AGAIN CONSIDERED FOR ALLOTMENT IN GEN.QUOTA
2) 5% DISCOUNT IS OFFERED TO RETAIL BIDDERS WHETHER APPLYING IN SH QUOTA OR GEN QUOTA
First of all ,thanks for your valuable comments in yor blog. After reading your recommendations on JP Infratech , I have two questions : 1) In your comment regarding JPInfra on 27 th April , you have stated that stock is offered at a P/E of 68 which is very high and hence the stock looks very expensive..but in your comment on JPInfra today, you have recommended to subscribe at the upper band i.e @117 . Can you please throw some light on these two contradictory comments.. 2) You have stated that retail investor is getting a discount of 10% in the issueand retailer will get the stock at 105.30..but as far I know about this , the discount is 5% . Can you please clarify whether the discount is atcually 10% or 5% ..?
Waiting for your reply..keep doing the good work..
Eligible Shareholders bidding in the Shareholders Reservation Portion cannot bid in the Net Issue. Further, Eligible Shareholders bidding in the Shareholders Reservation Portion cannot avail Retail Discount.
In terms of valuation, the net asset value per share works out to Rs115 (on fully diluted equity of 138.8 crore shares), which is close to the higher end of the issue price band of Rs102-117. However, there is potential for upside in the stock’s valuations if the company is able to monetise its land bank at a much faster rate and higher than expected realisations.
those who wish to apply under shareholders quota,pl. note that 5% discount will not be available to them. so, their cost of aquisition will increase by 5%, there goes the expected profit, if any.

Future prospect of Jaypee Infra depends if Mayawati will remain in power in next Assembly. Lot of BSP leaders have Benami investments in Jaypee Infra. Jaypee has recevied almost free land from U.P. Govt. There are many deals under the table. Jaypee infra is mainly involved in Yamuna Expressway and realestate development across the Expressway. So far it has sold major properties in Noida to have good balance sheet before the IPO. But Jaypee will fact difficulty to sell other projects far away from Noida because of worst law & order, power scenario of UP. So far IPO is concerned one can expect marginal listing gain because of Jaypee brand value. One can even hold till next assembly election. If Maywati retains power, future is very bright because Jaypee will get contract for Ganga expressway project which is many times bigger than Yamuna Expressway. Again None is sure about night safari park, Airport, F1 track. It's just the speculation of property dealer to hike property price. disclaimers : I am not applying
Anil Jain foget about investing in any ipo as nothing seems to excite in all upcoming ipo. instead go for secondary market where in company have utilised money and hyou can reap benefits. why you want to block money for 20 days and then come to know yu have lost 40% on money in ipo.
Even though the project looks good. The valuation seems to be way expensive and touching sky. i wouldn't put even a penny in this issue. Anyways....big issues of more than 2000 crores have never made money. so i would give this issue a miss.
