What''s wrong with this third party ASBA issue? In the past few IPO''S I applied 4-5 applications from same net banking, No application was rejected so far. Is there any change in procedure of allotment ?

SEBI Bars CNBC Awaaz Anchor Hemant Ghai, Family Members From Capital Market
CNBC Awaaz terminated Hemant Ghai after SEBI action.
Statement by Network18 Group ---------------------------------------- The Network18 group has terminated with immediate effect Mr Hemant Ghai, a show host and anchor with our Hindi Business channel CNBC Awaaz. His temination is a consequence of an interim ex-parte order by the Securities and Exchange Board of India against Mr Ghai for prima facie violations of SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relation to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003.
All employees of Network18 are required to pledge themselves to a code of conduct which among other things, expressly forbids the manipulation of prices of listed securities, Mr Ghai was also a signatory to the code of conduct. Network18 takes its commitment to honesty and integrity seriously. We will not tolerate any behaviour which does not conform to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. In keeping with our values, we have teminated Mr Ghai within hours of becoming aware of the SEBI order.
This is not specific to this IPO but a question in General! Is it okay to have more than 1 Demat A/Cs? I have one in Zerodha & other in Grow (obviously regiatered with the same PAN). What if I use both A/Cs to apply for IPOs thinking of it as increasing my chances of allottment. Is it legal or are we allowed to do it, or my application will be rejected. And upto how many demat A/Cs are we allowed to keep?!

@Paymzia think he has wrong misconception that applying in HNI guarantees allotment. He had asked same question in Antony page. P Patel and I both have replied to his question still he keeps asking same question.
@johny i also think that if we apply in HNI we get assured allotment according to some percentage. Isn''t it correct?

@Sanket - In HNI category allotment will be done pro-rata. By applying in HNI category may increase chance of allotment. To get confirm allotment, you need to apply lots equivalent to no of HNI category subscription.
@paymzia i have applied 19 lots for bector ipo..but got nothing

@Sanjay masudi - As I mentioned earlier, in HNI category allotment is done pro-rata basis. In your case 19 lots ( 950 shares ) category, allotment is done in ratio of 1:38.
You can find details from Basis of Allotment.... see below link. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo_basis_of_allotment/mrs-bectors-food-ipo/1077/

@sanjay masudi You need to apply more lots . More or equal of NII subscription times then only we can expect to allot to our application .
Basis of allotment is changing for ever ipo depends on the NII. Subscription Not sure every NII application will not get share .

@Sanket It is incorrect that applying in HNI gets assured allotment. If it was true then why would anyone apply in retail. Everyone would apply in HNI and enjoy profits.
It is very difficult to get allotment in HNI. In oversubscribed Retail should apply multiple one lot applications to increase their chances of allotment.
I had explained allotment process in detail in Bector''s and some other IPOs to explain why it is easier to get allotment in Retail then HNI.
I am again repeating here for your understanding.
Following are BoAs for some of recent oversubscribed IPOs where BoA is clearly available in this forum -
1) Chemcon Retail 2 out of 53 NII 14 lots 22 out of 707
2) SbiCards Retail 66 out of 79 NII 14 lots 12 out of 37
3) Ujsfb Retail 35 out of 1102 NII 14 lots 35 out of 1169
From above it would be clear it is better to apply in retail.
In this IPO 35% is for Retail so retail has higher chance of allotment. Apply retail even if you have funds.
Again BoA is not that simple. There is one more factor that needs to be considered i.e. number shares allocated for each category in addition to ratio of allotment. Another thing that has to be considered is how shares are distributed in different categories - for retail distribution is equal based on number of applications for all categories while in HNI it is proportionate.
Basically all applications are put together based on number of lots applied for. So all those who applied for 1 lot go together in category 1, those who applied for 2 lots go together in category 2 etc.
Going by the e.g. of Chemcon
Category 1(Retail bids 1 lot - 44 shares) No of applications - 1769347 Total No of shares applied - 77851268 Ratio of allotment (2:53 - 1:26.5) Total No of Shares for category - 2938936 (66794 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.66
Category 2(Retail bids 2 lots - 88 shares) No of applications - 96993 Total No of shares applied - 8535384 Ratio of allotment (2:53 - 1:26.5) Total No of Shares for category - 161084 (3661 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.66
Category 14(HNI bids 14 lots - 616 shares) No of applications - 1414 Total No of shares applied - 871024 Ratio of allotment (22:707 - 1:32.14) Total No of Shares for category - 1936 (44 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.37
Category 17(HNI bids 17 lots - 748 shares) No of applications - 66 Total No of shares applied - 49368 Ratio of allotment (1:22) Total No of Shares for category - 132 (3 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 2
Category 18(HNI bids 18 lots - 792 shares) No of applications - 50 Total No of shares applied - 39600 Ratio of allotment (1:25) Total No of Shares for category - 88 (2 lots) Ratio of Total No of Shares to No of applications - 1.76
Now in this if you see category 17 and 18 allotment ratios were 1:22 and 1:25 which is prima facie better then retail allotment ratio 1:26.5 which would make us believe that chances of allotment in this is better. Now check how many lots are available in these categories - only 3 for 17 and 2 for 18. Compare this number of lots available for retail. You will realize what I mean. In category 17 even though ratio is better then retail due on 3 lots being available you get only 3 opportunities to get selected. Similarly in Category 18 you get only 2 opportunities to get selected. While in retail Category 1 there are 66794 so you get 66794 opportunities to selected. Now which one do you think has more chance of allotment of 1 lot. Add to this if instead of applying 14 lots in HNI if you apply 14 different applications you are multiplying your chance of allotment.
There is one more thing in HNI - Chemcon was subscribed 445.47 times so all those who applied for 446 lots have confirm allotment. Below 445 lots if there are categories which have very less applications then there is very high possibility none of them get any allotment as no shares get allocated to that category during distribution.
Based on this detail research I have been advising retail to apply 1 lot multiple applications. I am doing the same and enjoying allotments and profits:).

Well everyone has to sign their own checks. I am 10000plus in grey. As these shares will be entitled for full year dividend i.e. 30 percent of eps or 5% of networth which ever is higher at year end i am still holding 140 shares of Gland as IPO subscription Company has earned some eps even after sep 2020 nearly Rs 1 on allotment day. You can not buy safer stock. Compare its valuation to HUDCO which has huge NPA. But as they say no one can cure doubting THOMAS Many a time buying equity is matter of self confidence and good advice to hold on. It was my friends good advice which did not let me sell Rs 3000 invested in HDFC at Rs. 10000. Today holding of 5 shares of Rs 100 has grown to 250 share at Rs 2800 each or buying GMM at Rs 100 in 2013
Thank you Arun sir for sharing your experience and feedback... Will consider IRFC for long term perspective...Gland I was allotted fully in 3 retail applications 13 lots each..now holding 30 shares only...I started investment in market since not more than 2 year...๐๐๐

Here it is an advice for applicants . As we already know we not gonna allotment in indigo so it will not be good to apply more lots in indigo . Instead of this if you planning to apply 4 lots in indigo ,do one thing apply 3 lot in IRFC and 1 lot in indigo . Appling more lots in indigo will be foolish decision bcz small retailers not get indigo only lucky one . Chances of getting full lot in IRFC is much much better than indigo . In IRFC you can easily get 1-2 rs . Even if it open at 1 rs up you will get money more than your bank interest . Indigo gonna subscribe very high so it will not be vice decision to block amount in indigo .apply in 8:2 ratio . If you applying 10 lot , apply 8 lot in IRFC and 2 lot in indigo . Am gonna doing this . I hope all applicant got my point what I am trying to say
@P Patel, thanks, from zaveri brocker snapshot, the details are mentioned that third party UPI/ASBA application liable to rejection. So need to confirm for this issue. Thanks and regards,
