I think Bhai ko IPO allot nahi hua hai

Got 1 out of 3 lots. In our place , GMP is down. Some are referring to similar patterns as happened in other PSU IPOs (RITES ) where GMP was too high before the listing day (Due to oversubscription) but listing was merely any good.

Nothing like that. I applied 1 lot on last day and got allotment.

Its pure luck...

In grey market some of the brokers are paying Rs 8200 as a profit against allotment of shares.

It does not matter when you are applying (i.e) whether on the first day (or) last day? It all depends on the drawing lots for each no. of lots (i.e) the probability for people who have applied only one lot will be less, probability for who applied 2-lots will be slightly more, etc. etc. Kindly refer to the BASIS OF ALLOTMENT OF IRCTC IPO in the alankit.com website(will be uploaded shortly). Then you can understand the above said logic. Thanks.
