IRCTC's stock is a very good stock. It can be hold for a long time. In my opinion, do not rush to sell it. Some people are comparing it with other PSUs, but that is their point of view (with due respect). This company cannot be compared with them. Because this company has monopoly in its work.
Apart from this, this company is making good profits. Its debts are negligible. It is almost debt free. Every year, the government get a good dividend. And the best thing is that the government is privatizing the railways, which will help in earning a lot of profit for this. Because its cost of operations will decrease and non-risky profits will increase.
If this company is compared with a psu, then according to me, that company should be MMTC. MMTC had monopoly in its area for many years. And his stock was sky high. (MMTC's stock is not profitable at the moment, as it is now very competitive.)
I will hold shares of IRCTC for a long time, if for some reason the stock is listed at a lower price then add some more.

Brilliant Definition Of A *Bank* ----
_A bank is a broker between the middle class and the rich. The only place where the two meet is in a bank. The middle class brings the money, through saving, and the rich takes it, through borrowing. A middle class person saves the money because they have more money than their thinking capacity. So they keep the money in the bank so they can go and think what to do with the money they saved._
*On the other side, the rich people come to pick that money, through borrowing, because they have more ideas than the money they have. On a practical side, please show me one billionaire who got rich through saving and I will show you a million Indians who have money saved in the banks and are still renting the houses that the Millionaires and billionaires build through the middle class people savings which the rich borrowed from a bank.*
its true sir.....iam also in such a situation......started a hotel business after my graduation....now i have some savings with me....but now i dont know how to handle it..and atlast i put it in bank as normal middle class always do.......
This is a highly flawed intellectual deliberation. Of all, I never assumed you will fall for it Aniket. No one put all their eggs in one basket. Rich ppl also save money. If a rich man need 1cr for a business idea and he has 1cr in his bank, what do you think he will do? He will never invest his cash directly. He will buy some asset from his 1cr cash and then he will collateral that asset to the bank and raise 1cr again. Debt creates wealth.

Vikas Lohia je, I appreciate your view also. Thanks.
Dear brother Aniketiaf This is IRCTC ipo page... Why waste commenting about banks and spandana... Please request you not to forcefully trend this comment which is trending since one week because it has many likes. At times it's very irritating. You are gem of this forum. Such behaviour doesn't look good from you.
I am sure that no transparent method of allotment was adopted. Think for yourself that none of the 11 applications of the family should be successful. I am not at all sad to see the allotment, but the situation is doubtful.
I got allotment in IRCTC & I am not a long term investor. I will exit it on listing day. Is there any generic exit strategy for listing day. I usually miss to sell them on highs of the day. I know its not easy when markets are very volatile but based on the past IPO listing days is there any trend known? Please suggest.
Congrats everyone who had got allotment. I had applied for 2 lots and as per Alankit website, 0 shares allotted. But, the money (UPI mandate) which was blocked for both lots has been debited today from my bank account. Is it usual for money to be debited before refund? If not, any idea what might have happened?
Friends, kindly ignore my message. Seems the money is still blocked - In the bank App it isn't displayed. When I checked in their website, it is shown as if it is still blocked. Sorry for any confusion.

In Between, Spandana Sphoorty achieved my medium term target of 1050 at much lesser time. Now the next target will be 1200+ which should also be achieved within current calendar year. Thanks.
