​@Mayursinh Vaghela Here, by 8 retail means 8 different applications in retail or one application with 8 lots in retail.
If 8 different applications, its a good move but if it is second option, its of no use bidding more than min lot as issue is oversubscribed and in allotment through lottery, 1 lot and 8 lots are assessed equally. Hence, no point blocking extra funds.

​@harit Tata Motors ordinary A shares means tata Motors DVR shares. Which r going to be converted into normal shares with a swap ratio of 7 ordinary shares : 10 dvr shares.

I am seeking clarification on a few aspects of the shareholder quota allotment and application process. I would appreciate your help in resolving the following questions:

1) Can an applicant invest more than ₹2 lakh in the shareholder quota?

2) Allotment Basis in Shareholder Quota:

Typically, allotment in the shareholder quota is done on a proportionate basis. However, I have heard that it could also be based on a lottery if the quota is oversubscribed. Could you please clarify what is meant by 'oversubscribed' in this context? Specifically, does it refer to the number of applications or the total amount of subscription?

For Example ,
Case 1 - if the subscription amount is 12 times the available shareholder quota, how would the allotment be handled? Similarly
case 2 - if the subscription amount is 15 times the quota, would the process differ in terms of proportionate allotment versus a lottery system?

In both case, if I get allotted shares, how many lots or shares will be allocated to me?

I am quite confused about the allotment process for the shareholder quota and would greatly appreciate any detailed explanation you can provide.

Other senior members are also welcome to share their insights.

​@Hope For Good 1) This would be mentioned in RHP filing so cant say.
2) Allotment would be proportion wise.
Case 1 is subs is 12x then 12x applied> would be 1lot based on applied. If u apply 24x then 2 lot.
Case 2 like case 1. 15x and multiple of 15x.
Below 12x would be lottery but with SH application only.
Hope u understand reply if u didnt or have doubt or need clarification.

​@Sandapaul sir it is not marketing or promotion of any website but as far as iIknow Investor gain site is subsidiary or it is a sister concern of CHITTORGARH site. It is available openly if you click the GMP ICON. of any IPO and it updates GMP at regular intervals.

If i apply in HNI category and later on want to cancel my application, should i apply in retail category also ? Or the registrar would cancel the retail application only.

I had tried this experiment in one recent IPO, Brainbees & didnt get allotment in both Retail & bHNI.

​@CACS For some folks it worked and for some their retail was cancelled, so it is a mixed bag..

But, if you want to really cancel then you should try it..

​@Chhote Lal  and all other members, I had applied through UPI (GPAY) and accepted mandate, But now amount is blocked but Mandate is showing in completed section saying that authorisation failed. Now what to do, cancel this application & apply again or how. While checking balance amount is blocked.

Again I had applief through Gpay and dint got mandate and becuase og this I also deleted 2nd application. So, at last I had applied through ASBA, so is my ASBA application will be valid or not?

Off Topic - Those who very excited for HZL dividend of Rs.19, just to inform you on the record date that same amount will reduce from the stock price. E.g. if price will 519 in the last evening, then this will open at (519-19)=500 due to diveidend adjustment, after the bid ration up/down extra. If stock fall drastically after that may be 480 or any amount, then you got nothing, if your average price is 500. So act accordingly. This is applicable for all company's stock's dividedend rule.

​@Mayursinh Vaghela Questions you asked are part of Financial Management course curriculum and this may not be the right forum to discuss the same.
However, related to IPOs - one may check the financial performance/PAT figures etc of company for say last three years. While going through RHP, some of the important points include objectives of the issue and peer comparison like PE ratios. One may also go through reviews published in IPO page in this forum, particularly of DD Sir.
Put some efforts, its not that difficult to carryout this study.
