Strangely got 45 shares in the account where i applied for only 4 lots..always thought that higher the applied amount the more the chance..guess thats not true anymore

That''s the rule bro. Minimum one lot to each retail shareholder. I saw less subscription & went full 630 shares but got one lot only.

Ya the rule may be one lot per applicant..but the allotment ratio could be higher at for the ones who apply with max..i.e. 90% chance for 630 and maybe 40% for 180..each would still get 1 lot..but 9 of 10 of the 630 ones would get and 4 out of 10 of the 180 ones would..will know only when we see the published basis of allotment.
