Yes. You can separately apply in daughter''s name but you have to transfer shares ( if allotted ) in name of daughter in your account and any capital gain, if any, will be add in father income and tax liability, if any, will be also on father
Demat account can be open in minor name but not trading account. Only thing is that minor can not be sign in demat form on gaurdien can sing on behalf of minor and all the require document will be of parents

If retail is 2 times oversubscribed, then there is confirmed allotment for every retail application (becathe actual number of application will be less as many apply for mutliple lot)
And those retailers who have applied for more share than minimum number of lots, they will get more shares in proportionate of the share left.
This is quite weird that a share which is heavily subscribed by QIB/ HNI is having very average subscription by Retail.
I just applied for minimum lot thinking it will be oversubscribed multiple times and so no of apply more than minimum lot.
Vikash: The reason is one there are many share offered to RII (35% of such a big issue) and some RII burnt their fingers at Monte Carlo, Ortel etc. It''s good for more people are likely to get allotment.
Mudit Chopra: Don''t call me sir. I feel I am young and a newbie. RII allocation rule as per SEBI is minimum one lot and then pro rata allocation if available. If minimum one lot is not possible then draw (lottery) of lots will decide allotment. Pretty high chances of allotment as subscription is only two times but in a high bid scenerio it''s useless to bid more than 1 lot.
The SEBI rule is one lot at least to each subscriber and then if there are more shares left then go for pro rata allocations based on subscription. On the other hand if the subscription is way to high then few will get 1 lot max through lottery like it happened with Wonderla.
QIB 35.7 x (including FII 20.9x) HNI 35.4 X Retail 1.95 x Total 18.5x as on 4.30 PM I think, now online application has been closed and you will now see only increase in Retail Physical applications. This is probably the final Data.
